Fighton Simukonda Joins Nakambala As Head Coach

Fighton Simukonda has been hired by MTN Super League side Nakambala Leopards as head coach 9 days after he was sacked by champions Zesco United.
The former Lusaka Dynamos and Zanaco coach replaces Dick Ngwenya who ditched the ‘Sugar Boys’ for Kabwe Warriors last week and will be in charge on the home tie against Green Eagles this saturday.
Nakambala Club Secretary Obert Habasimbi confirmed the engagement of ‘Big Figh’ though he said they are yet to aggree on the length of his contract.
“I can confirm that Simukonda will join us, right now he is on his way here so that we can agree on how long his contract will be and set the target.
On Tuesday, Zambianfootball.net revealed that Nakambala were courting Simukonda though his wage demands were proving to be the stumbling block.
Simukonda’s former club, Zesco United are still hoping to convince Patrick Phiri though there hasn’t been any movement from both parties in the last 24 hours and that means that care taker coach Masautso Mwale will be in-charge of the Champions when they host Zanaco on Sunday at Trade Fair Ground.
