FAZ Drops Msiska

The Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) has parted company with Under-23 National Soccer team Coach Lucky Msiska.
In an interview, Association Vice President Boniface Mwamelo says Msiska’s contract with FAZ elapsed at the end of the All Africa Games and Olympic qualifiers.
Mwamelo explained that Msiska’s last appointment was specifically for the Under-23 National Soccer Team adding that currently there is neither the under 23 team nor the technical bench in existence.
The FAZ Vice President further said tenures for football coaches’ contracts worldwide come to an end when appointments elapse.
Msiska’s last assignment for the under 23 was against Algeria on 18th June 2011 in which Zambia won by 2 goals to nil but not enough to see his boys qualify to the next round.
The former International winger also known as Muchofe failed to qualify the Junior National team to the 2011 All Africa and the London 2012 Olympic Games.
However, when contacted for a comment Msiska expressed ignorance on the development.
In a separate interview, Msiska said, he was still under-23 national Soccer team coach according to his knowledge.
He however referred all queries to FAZ.
Msiska has also confirmed that he is next week Thursday scheduled to depart for Hungary ahead of a three month coaching course.
Msiska was assigned to handle the Olympic in June last year.
