CHANGE LIFE Zambia Director, 2011 regime change ‘RED CARD Campaign’ ambassador and Catholic priest, Father Frank Bwalya has spoken out and describes republican President Michael SATA’s continued revocation of his appointment of people to public office as embarrassing.
Fr Bwalya said much as it is the prerogative of the President to appoint people to public office he ought to appoint Zambians whose credentials are not questionable. He said Zambia had not fallen short of competent peope to run the affairs of the nation.
SATA yesterday Tuesday 11/15 revoked his appointment of Dr Simon Miti as Zambia’s ambassador to Switzerland.
Dr Miti was in 2009 put on forced leave following the Henry Kapoko K27 Billion financial scam on in the Ministry of Health, where he was the Permanent Secretary.
President SATA also u-turned on the appointment of forgery-convict and corruption suspect Xavier Chungu and Sherry Thole as Permanent Secretary for Luapula Province and ambassador to Sweden, respectively.
And former ambassador to Switzerland, Love Mutesa, has called on President Sata’s advisors to ensure that all persons being appointed into diplomatic service were of high integrity.
Ambassador Mutesa is veteran who has served in foreign missions for more than thirty years.
