Man Who Became Pregnant And SAFELY Gave Birth Splits From Wife
A SEX swap dad who was the first man to give birth has split from his wife.
Bearded Thomas Beatie,38, became world famous after going into labour in 2008.
He went on to give birth to three healthy children despite beginning gender “reassignment” surgery.
But Thomas has announced he recently split from his wife Nancy after nine years of marriage.
He revealed the news during filming for a medical talk show called The Doctors, set to be shown in the US.
He said: “Like all marriages, we have our ups and downs, and we’re going through a rough patch right now.
“At the moment, we’re separated.”
The real-life Mr Mum was born Tracy Lagondino and lived in Hawaii.
After falling in love with Nancy he had a sex change because Hawaiian law bars same-sex marriages.
Thomas took testosterone pills, had his breasts removed and legally became a man.
Nancy, 49, who has two children from a previous marriage, was no longer able to get pregnant after a hysterectomy.
So Thomas, who had kept his women’s reproductive organs, decided to stop taking male hormones and became pregnant.
He has recently completed his sex-swap and undergone final female-to-male surgery.
