ZRP: Don’t Blame SATA For Having More ‘BEMBAS’ In GOVT

President Sata cannot be blamed for having more Bemba speaking people in his government because those are mostly the ones who stood with him when he was fighting MMD government for almost, if not over a decade. Let’s face it, he got over whelming support and votes from places like Luapula, Northern and copper belt provinces where the majority bembas live than in other provinces of Zambia in the last general elections where he emerged as a winner and you would expect even more people from the same places to fill his cabinet and government.
Please this is what any normal president would do because there’s no way Sata would ignore the people who sacrificed their lives and resources for him and the PF to appoint those who didn’t just because they come from southern or western provinces for example, no way.
As ZRP being a progressive opposition political party, we feel we will be failing in our duties if we just condemn the govt and the president for the sake of it. Please let us be objective when debating and arguing. When you hear that PF scooped almost all parliamentary seats in Luapula province for example, what comes into your mind? If we don’t want the repetition of this nature, please let’s all begin to educate our people not to support presidential candidates and political parties based on tribes.
Surely president Sata would be a fool to ignore those that stood with him through thin and thick and appoint those that didn’t just in order to please people. In any case even when you look at UPND for example, because most of its support is from southern province and the majority of the people in influential positions in UPND are also from Southern province. So President Sata cannot be condemned for this, sorry.
Right now as Zambia Republic Party ZRP, we are busy asking all Zambians everywhere irrespective of their tribes, gender, age, colour or education to join the REPUBLICANS before its late and when we cross over, as we will one day soon by God’s grace, the appointments will be accordingly while we will strive to better the lives of all our people in all provinces of Zambia. By this I do not insinuate that one’s academic credentials will never be considered when it comes to crucial appointments.
The REPUBLICANS are back!
Wright Musoma
President

Mr Musoma you’re spot on. How can one harvest where he/she have not sow Mr Sata is rewarding those pipo who voted and fought with him for there are no two ways about it. For example, if Hakainde becomes republican prtesident day, do you think his cabinet can be balanced? How hard he may try his cabinet cannot be balanced because his party is made of one region only which is southern province. So lets critisise responsibly.

Firstly,Mr Wright Mulenga, you are looking at this issue from one perspective; that the support mr sata had was from Luapula, northern and the copperbelt. Please do not confuse the support from a bemeba speaking region and the people who live in the region.

You have not provided facts to back your theory. There are many tribes on the copperbelt who supported political parties for differenet reasons. To suggest that mr the bembas get the appointments because they supported PF/Mr Sata is wrong and should not be tolerated

Secondly, the deputy ministers he has appointed into government from the opposition (MMD), which support did they give Mr sata ? They campaigned under the MMD umbrella and policies.

    Please misleading people.

so are people begining to suggest that PF is a tribal & regional political party?

    August 2, 2012 at 2:58 pm

VMMMM you are right to say these pipo from copperbelt, luapula and these other areas who voted for Mr Sata are not bembas but they are “bemba speaking pipo”.And that is the reason why most pipo are getting it wrong by saying Mr Sata’s cabinet is full of bembas. They are not all bembas but bemba speaking pipo.So do not blame Mr Sata those ministers are not bembas most of them but bemba speaking ones.Do not devide the nation based on tribe.

Simply wrong. There are no Bembas to dominate his govt to start with. Yes the number may be a bit bigger but that does not suggest he got support from Bembas only. It’s simply because they were working with him before and during campaigns. It’s even wrong to always think about a Bemba person when it comes to politics. Zambians vote not because you are Bemba, no. It’s policies you promise ‘em that lure ‘em. That’s so. Mulimashilu??

those of us who have an opportunity to learn political science 4rm higher institutions of learning we appreciate the fact that a regional/tribal party can not win an election later on govern a nation….we shall see HH, Milupi and their supporters…WINA AZAMWALILA

c’mon guys its one zambia one nation..its just coincidence that mr satas cabinet is mostly occupied by bembas..it has nothing to do with tribalism, the entire zambia pushed hard to get ride of selfish mmd its not just the bembas…the entire zambia had a vision of kicking out mmd one day.

How many bemba speaking people are in UPND executive committee? What happened to Chisanga when he was the VP of UPND? So stop the nonsense.

RB cabinet was full of Easterners and he said it himself though they did not support him.

So let those who suffered for the PF for 10 solid years benefit.

You even what to be a leader one day and yet you are supporting tribalism. In your government it might be worse. At least CNP opposed it until he went in. But you mukalibe nakungena you start supporting politics of regionalism and tribalism.
To all with your inherited party. Viva Nevers Mumba and MMD, Viva HH and UPND.

well thot out point. This is true in life we consider and award pipo we sacrifice for a good cause for in due season they shall reap as the case now, look at Edward Mumbi and Chimumbwa CHarles who left the PF bcoz they ddnot form govt then….. their lives are full of nothing but regret and shame. Unless we change the voting pattern, coming govts will never be balanced tribally. If HH becomes president, believe me you, his cabinet will be full of our brothers and sisters from Southern Province not bcoz HH is tribal but getting from what he has.

yes, you remind me on this important issue the President should also consider appointing this young retired soldier Mr Bornface Bota who compagned for him in Lundazi, chasefu and stood on PF ticked and come second. Had he been assisted to compagn he should have scooped the seat nowonder Chifumo Banda won on the ticket for Nawakwi. Please inform Mr President to assist if this soldier is still arrive to give a job its like he spent all his retirement parkage.
