A fatal accident has occurred along Kitwe Chingola road. Full details of the accident are still being gathered but pictures of the same have been sent to Tumfweko

I saw the scene of the accident around 10hrs yesterday. So sad indeed. With the collapse of the rail system in Zambia the only option that has been left is to move heavy goods on the roads. This route is so busy because of the mining operations at chambeshi, Chingola, Chililabombwe and North western province and also transit goods to Congo DRC. The government must seriously consider making it a dual carriageway to stop the road carnage on this route. there is an accident on average everyday. MPs of Nchanga, Kalulushi, Chingola should lobby govt to do something about this road

Govt how many pipo are going to die before you realise you need a dual carriage?????

Mwe bantunse lets just riot over this noble cause dual carriage way or no peace. Ba cbu and ba unza u always riot over allowances and we do not understand why you should riot when you never used to get allowances from pre grade to high school. My point is here is a noble cause to riot for with the support of every Zambian. Iam not inticing violen but enough is enought it seems pressure will dig diamond here coz right channels are not working.

Kaesha, you are obviously not “Enticing” anyone but you obviously seem intent on INCITING the University students whom you seem to be daring!! Maybe you should be at the forefront of the mob, so you name time & place!!!

And then a Minister can stand up in the August House and tell us they have no plan to build a dual carriage road. What plan has he .. his salary.

What a scene!!!!! I lost my good sister in this terrible accident. I will really miss my lovely sister in-law Bana Nonde (Mrs Peacewell Chimba). I will miss her desire to sing for the Lord all her life. And true to her desire, died on her way back from serving the Lord through music from Monze.
To the members of the Sunshine Choir of Solwezi Central SDA Church, my prayer is that God will be your friend in this trying moment. We are with you in mourning and God keep you under His wings.

That road is and will oways be a ticking time bomb.Being a chingola resident i oways have nightmares driving through that road especially at night.Mwe bamu gavulumente, please let us not lose many more lives in vain.Help us make peoples lives safe.Bus drivers are racing to make more trips,Trucks are also busy going to congo, motorists are also busy on the same poor road.pliz help zambia!

My dearest friend kaesha
I am in full support of this idea. I am a Chingola resident and i use this road almost everyday coz i work in Kitwe. I have witnessed several accidents in this road, sometimes it looks as if one is watching a movie.
My suggestion is just to oeganise ourselves and match from Chingola to Kitwe and then proceed to the provincial ministers office in Ndola to air our grievance. Our collegues from Kitwe can join us once we reach Kitwe. enough is enough

The government should remove all the heavy tracks from this road or they should make it a dual carriage ways otherwise we will be losing loved ones in the same manner.
WHAT HAPPENED TO THE RAIL SYSTEM IN THE FIRST PLACE?……Greedy ministers you just want everything to work well for you next your family will be the VICTIM!!

90% of RTA are caused by careless driving and over speeding. If you drive@ 80km/h on a busy road, that will allow you to controll your car in case of anything. But you find people driving @ 120 on busy. The onus is on us. We might never see a dual carriage road there anytime soon.

Twalandalanda sana bane. seroiusly, I mean seroiusly! Can we stage a very big demonstration between Kitwe and Chingola. Let’s block the road for one week so that our anger can be heard by these deaf leaders. Can someone be bold enough to mobilise and initiate the real action soonest. Probably, this coming weekend! Remember, if we do not do anything of this nature our cries will never be heard. Lets go guys. Zambia is ours.

I salute the departed may the good Lord have space for them in His kingdom, those gallant master guides who went to attend a wedding i also attended in Monze put up a good sight at the reception, just when we parted ways en route to our respective places, they met there destiny. i remember the Toyota gaia they were driving in, wish some things could be stopped bt all we can hope for now is that they are in Gods kingdom. REST IN PEACE GALALNT PEOPLE

The death toll has risen to six with the two master guides dying at 06hrs and 11hrs respectively. These are the guys who were performing their duties as master guides in their uniforms on Sunday morning.Of the two,one was the one who even delivered the bible to the officiating minister in church.sad,sad.brethren we learn one thing from this that life is nothing without Christ. i believe the zeal by the brethren to travel that far was true to their calling.Hope to meet you at the sea of glass.brothers and sisters i want to ask you how IT was like to depart in such a manner, and i also have a story to Tell them.Elder chimba brother man Be of good courage,HOLD ON FOR IT IS JUST FOR A LITTLE LONGER,JESUS IS COMING TO TAKE US HOME AND YOU WILL MEET YOUR BELOVED.LOOK FORWARD TO THAT BLESSED HOPE OF OUR KING APPEARING AND NO TEARS IN THE EYES.THE KING IS COMING!

I believe this where the billions of dollars and kwacha seized from corruption cases need to be put to use. govt in govt out have promised a dual carriage way on chingola – kitwe road nothing has happened but death continues. 27 years of rule UNIP promised but never delivered, 20years MMD did same. what is PF planning to do on this road?Kindly channel the money yoou seize from corruption to make our roads safe and give ZED the much desired confidence in your leadership….
