The Post: Fr. Bwalya Eyeing Presidency In 2016

frankSome PF senior members have now accused outspoken catholic cleric Fr. Frank Bwalya of having resigned from the Zesco board which he was chairing because he demanded for an executive position.

And the Post newspaper that supports their own Wynter Kabimba to take over from president Michael Sata have today accused Fr. Bwalya of eyeing the Zambian presidency in 2016, even when catholic priests are not allowed to hold political office.

Sources within the PF who are uncomfortable with an uncompromising stance of criticising the corrupt PF administration have told the Watchdog that Fr. Bwalya wanted a near permanent executive Chairmanship position of the state owned entity Zesco so that he can earn more.

Fr. Bwalya a fierce campaigner for PF in the run-up to 2011 elections recently shook the nation when he resigned and later attacked the PF administration and president Sata for poor governance.

And the Post newspaper who are sponsoring Justice Minister Wynter Kabimba accused Fr. Bwalya of positioning himself to run for Republican presidency in 2016 because he feels he can make a better president than Sata.

The paper accused Fr. Bwalya of having been confiding in some members of the civil society and other leaders, telling them about his ambition and desire to be president.

The paper claims Fr. Bwalya wants to form his own political platform to help him get the presidency because he thinks he can be a better leader than Kabimba and Sata.

According to the Post newspaper, Fr. Bwalya had been telling people about the third force that is coming before 2016.

I said it. If Fr bwalya was a genuine person as he claims to be, he should have gone to state house to advise the president. Alas, he went on air to denounce. That is one childish characteristic of the fr. Definately he has a hidden agenda. He has overated himself. Fr pliz, remember Dean mung’omba and his antics mhsrip.

Me too i thought in those lines. If he is a genuine leader he would have engaged the president since somehow he was too close to him.Yesterday almost all the oppsitions were celebrating that Fr Bwalya will join then, alas he intends to form his own party.

…Or could it be that the president is Stubborn and only listens to himself more than others? Think about it… Government machinery can be very frustrating sometimes. This faceless organisation is now forming into Sata’s face!

Absolute scandal, if this priest goes ahead & forms a party it will be so naive of him! From where I am I see this man as an opportunist who wanted the MMD to be dislodged by PF which had the muscle and now he wants to try and disstabilise the PF so that he can have a mass following and like the other former priest president Jean-Bertrand Aristide, he will not only bless Voodoo but homosexuality too!
Make no mistake about this, this priest is dead serious and needs to be checked in very good time.

In my full view while standing on the platform of PF and Chishimba Kambwili he spilt blood for reasons only him still can explain. Pipo, please beware of this goat in a sheep skin. He could be a Satanist. You do not sacrifice chiken! Oh my God. You will know them by their actions. They will stand on the pulpit and look so Gogly bad alas, the devil marked 666 will cause even the last cosen ones to fall.

He he wages his fight with sign of a coffin on his forehead. His U turn makes wonder if bullhas kept his celibacy vow. Is he married? Has he not been dating a felow man? Why this resignaton after the agovernment has come out in the open that it tolerate same sax marriages?

the biggest problem are those that start the rumors, the worst still the those that judge even based on the same rumors and tumfweko is just the wrong media all together. No authentication or simple news editing whatsoever. If rumors where fire Zambia would long have been ashes.

The next president must not come from the present politians. They lack the capability and intelligent to rule.Talking about Father Bwalya or HH has become monotonous and even more boring. We need changes with new charismatic people. In 1974,during the science exhibitions i met a very intelligent man. I can only remember him being called Abbot. In 1976, i again met him while at the university of zambia. The last years i discovered that his science projects called floating bubbles has been dedveloped in europe and has been selling millions of dollars.Because he has been man of interest, i googled and discoverd that he is also a publisher and writer of best sellers in europe with books like My Land and Exodus an liberation. He is rich quiet an intelligent. We need such people to come back as leaders. If anyone knows this mans whereabouts please let me know. I know that that time he used to use the name of B.M. Kapika.

I’m not a Christian but I know Catholics. Where have you heard of a Catholic priest standing for elections. These guys ruled the world long time ago and at the end of it they learnt their lesson. That’s why Catholics won’t support the declaration of a christian state. Father Bwalya like most Catholic priests will be vocal but won’t enter politics.

Unlike The Post which always hosts politicians masquerading as journalists the Catholic ChuRch draws a line between Political office and church. So Minister of PF Propaganda, Fred Mmembe should not use attacks on Fr Bwalya to hoodwink his President that he is working.

Fr. Bwalya is a person and as a Zambian he qualify to aspire to presidency. The problem I have found we you Zambians is that you lack the art of discernment. We are to quick to judge and spread rumours. We can make our country a better place by way of analysing issues properly. There are issues of corruption, promotional of contraceptives, even worse our political scene etc. If we can start from there on proper analysis through the platform such as this, then we can change alot of things. Zambia can become paradise. I would employ all right thinking Zambians that we protect our beloved country. Love u all.
