We Didn’t Burn Thabo Mbeki, STOP Killing US -Lusaka Woman[PHOTO]

lusaka woman
A young woman(photo shown above) in national colors of Zambia walks to the South African High Commission in Lusaka, Zambia with a message against Xenophobic attacks in South Africa.
Meanwhile,President Lungu has urged Zambians to tone down on demonstrations against xenophobic attacks in South Africa because he is handling the issue at the highest level.
The President told Zambia National Broadcasting Corporation (ZNBC) shortly before departure for Mpika yesterday that he is handling the matter.
“We are all concerned as Africans. Zambians are upset because they did a lot for the liberation of South Africa, particularly through the ANC. And I think we should sit down and reflect seriously,” President Lungu said.

No one forced you to help mbeki. The only solution is for zambia to develop its own country which clearly the pf and lungu have failed to do. All lungu cares about is travelling and consolidation of power and you wonder why all goods and services are south African in this country. Then a silly girl called stella will wake up and say entrepreneurship nyo nyo. Please vote upnd to ensure economic security which translates to physical security too

Let me answer the most important quesiton which is how are we going to improve the economy. Before I do so let me make you aware that such a question cannot be fully answered on such a platform as the questiuon of zambia economy is not a straight forward one thanks to our friends the pf and mmd governments. I will try and give you a break down of what we would do. bear with me as tumfweko cannot allow me to publish long articles. here goes:

        JOB CREATION

We have a young population with lots of potential but we need to make sure that we are giving everyone the chance to succeed. We will do this by:

Supporting and empowering local businesses to grow and create jobs
Providing youths with skills training opportunities
Continuing the construction of public works
Providing tax incentives for industries to grow, including tourism

        AGRICULTURE

We believe that by investing properly in our farmers we can help them to grow and sell more, and at the same time bring prices down. If elected we pledge to:

Pay farmers what they are owed by Government
Reduce the cost of inputs such as fertiliser
Invest in agriculture for improved productivity and diversification

        COST OF LIVING

The cost of living must be lowered immediately. We pledge to do the following:

Work to lower food prices through investment in agriculture
        Reduce the price of fuel
        Lift the wage freeze

In the long-term we will sustain a lower cost of living through improved education and growing our economy.
        EDUCATION

Over half of Zambians are under 18 and we need to give our children a better start in life. We will reform our education sector so that:

Children and youth have full access to education from primary up to university
Youths are equipped with skills that will help them find work
Budding entrepreneurs and businessmen are given proper support and the tools they need to succeed

        HEALTHCARE

We need to make sure clinics and hospitals are staffed properly, have the right medicines available, and that they are affordable. We pledge to:

        Increase frontline staff
Increase stocks of medicine available at clinics
Raise the standard of care through training and respecting our health workers

        GOVERNANCE

The UPND is committed to several measures that will re- establish Zambia as the proud shining star of democracy in Southern Africa.

Forming a Government which represents the nation, with ministers from every province
        Delivering the new constitution
        Reducing the size of Government
Better communication from State House to the Zambian people

I agree with you. we do not know how south Africans have suffered seeing their jobs taken while they are left to resort to taking jenkem. it seems it will not end as bus loads, plane loads of Africans are trooping to south Africa everyday. icakubafwa eco bafwile? we need to develop our country so that it is attractive. what is happening in sa is a work up call. but voting upnd is not the solution. what has upnd to offer? we know they have told us what they will do. we feel they are playing on our feelings because the economist has not said how he will do those things. let him simplify in our uneducated lingua what he is going to do.

In other words wise up. we need your votes. we know you are suffering or your relatives are. Eating chilemba without tomato daily has become the order of your lives. Let us change that together
