President Lungu Counsels Bitter Politicians

Republican President Edgar Lungu has expressed concern that some politicians in the country are harbouring too much bitterness.

President Lungu says such politicians are power hungry, advising them to wait for 2016 and see what will happen.

President Lungu says the opposition sees nothing positive in the PF government and criticizes everything without considering the strides made by the ruling party.

He states that the opposition will see what will happen to them in the forthcoming parliamentary by-elections in Bangweulu and Solwezi West constituencies.

And President Lungu says there is need to keep traditional leaders out of politics and allow them to concentrate on progressive matters.

He said the agenda of his meeting with traditional leaders from Southern province today is to promote oneness.

The Head of State said this at Kenneth Kaunda International Airport this morning before departure for Livingston where he is expected to meet Chiefs from Southern Province.

Now all must appreciate why KK went for one party state. Tribalism can be so decisive and time wasting.

constructive criticisms are ok. Mr President, take those ones. But such criticisms we hear in ZED by some politicians are completely misplaced. To assure u Sir, such politicians will not rule this great nation.

There is something that tells me Lungu is the bitter one especially against voters in southern province and the UPND. He deliberately derailed the discussion on Davies Chama with the chiefs knowing inwardly he has gratification with the unbecoming language Chama used! He uses bitterness and tribal hatred to gain mileage against a perceived sworn enemy while lying through his teeth that he stands for “One Zambia One Nation.” It isn’t for Lungu and his elite to detribalize Zambia but Zambians themselves.

LUNGU can not go out in 2016; he is getting stronger and stronger . More people will vote for him in the next election , he is gathering momentum look out opposition, you lost your chance when he was vulnerable .
Now he is more organised his party is no longer in splinters they are speaking one language they are united to beat any competitor .

VIVA! H.E. ECL has spoken! Those who have ears let them hear! Bitter polititians like hh and nawakwi should read the loud and audile writing on the political wall of Zambia. PF is winning the Solwezi West and Bangweulu by-elections with handsome “petauke style” majorities!! Mark my words fellow citizens, the PF machinery is shunting and shutting opposition parties into oblivion. After the September 2016 elections; I forsee hh hanging-up his political gloves; nawakwi and ba mudala ba Gen. Miyanda will both be saying, “Chashupa imwe bantu, mulekeni chabe Lungu alungise ziko”. Iwe @Muma Mwange, wabe tole, kabili sokulu takufundile we sokomuntu we! Bushe niwani pakuti uletuka Ba Kateka, we mpombo we, kabili niwe pumbafu, waumfwa!! @Trixy, it only when you learn to respect others that you will also get respect from other people. We can not allow a simpleton to insult H.E. ECL. He was voted into State House by the people of Zambia; therefore to insult him means you are also oinsulting the people. Vox populi, vox Dei!!

@Citizen, has it ever occurred to you that respect is earned? A large percentage of respect from the people (in this case the citizens of Zambia) will go to EL by virtue of him being president. The other percentage is earned. How is it earned? It is earned by being truthful and having integrate. As it is these chaps have been lying about everything from time in memorial. Well meaning Zambian people are not happy about this fact. Ofcourse in our African culture, insulting anyone older than you is not good especially people in high positions. I personally do not condene this, but before you blame those doing so completely, please start by advising your ECL to keep to his campaign promises. The people of Zambia voted him into power in order for him to improve their lives not the way things are going right now. After you do that and the president corrects the situation (if at all he is capable of doing that) then you can come and blame peoples language towards the president. We are simply angry and disappointed with what is going on in our country right. I hope this fact is not too much for you to comprehend or is it a matter of “dying with a NO?”.
