How do you know your God is the correct one? There are more than 30,000 distinct Gods defined in as many holy books. Most are mutually contradictory. They cannot all be true, but they can be (and I submit are) all false. Every one of those > 30,000 gods are worshiped by thousands to billions of people who believe they have the right god with the same fervor that you believe in yours. So sad that you think that of all the conceptions of God only yours is the one true God. What if you are wrong? What if there is no God and you are wasting your one and only life in damaging fear of His Wrath instead of making the best of the fantastically unlikely lottery you have won by simply being born? Think about how different your vision of God would be if God was invented by a bunch of authoritarian barbaric old men from a time when slavery and treating women like cattle was normal. Have you read your Bible? Have you read the Satanic Biblical Verses which call for the slaughter of innocents for crimes as trivial as living in the wrong patch of ancient desert or collecting sticks on the Sabbath? How do you reconcile your idea of a loving God with His orders to Abraham to murder his only son? … with that deal with Jephthah which resulted in the sacrifice of Jeph..’s daughter in return for God giving him victory against the Ammonites? [Judges 11:29-35] Those are just two of the more egregious horror stories among hundreds of similar stories.

Your interpretation is scaringly twisted. When Jephthah made that vow, he did not stop to consider that a person not a Goat or sheep would have come out to meet him. Jephtha made a vow to God and his daughter insisted he keeps the Vow and not God himself (big difference read the text again)Leviticus 18 vs 21, 20 vs 1-5 clearly prohibits human sacrifice. no high priest would have helped him in carrying out a pagan ritual. In the case of Abraham am sure you know how that ended, God stopped him from carrying out the sacrifice and provided him with a Ram ( read 22:13). I await your response and further examples and i will gladly take the time to take an expository walk with you as God gives me the grace.
