2, 400Kms of Roads Underway Under Link Zambia

roAD-WORKS1The Road Development Agency (RDA) has disclosed that about 2, 400 kilometers of roads are being worked on across the country under the Link Zambia 8000 Road Project.

RDA Senior Manager Public Relations Loyce Saili has told QFM News in an interview that the roads however are at different levels.

And Ms Saili says about 150 kilometers of roads under the L400 Road Project have been done including the installation of street lighting.

Ms Saili says the project is moving well as seen with the construction of drainages, expansion of roads such as Mumbwa, Burma and Chilimbulu roads.

And Ms Saili has also disclosed that the agency has identified 26 sites for the construction of toll plazas and that six are under construction now.

She says by next year the agency will able to cover all vehicles saying at the moment only heavy vehicles above 6.5 tones are paying at the points of entry.

we are yet to see the Rain-ball, what it is made of after 2016.but its good that kabimba is a force to reckon with though he is the most misunderstood man in the history of the Zambian politics.

So? Thats not Edgar’s projects those are long overdue projects left by Sata. Edgar should start creating his own projects and stop wearing jackets left by Sata.

        Now we are talking.
Isn’t that what the man said?
He is completing Sata’s term and those Sata’s Link Zambia800s and L400 plus hospitals, Schools, Districts were (and still are) a 10year workplan. Wouldn’t have been folly for Lungu to say “Away with Sata’s vision & let me put in mine?”
Come 2016, these projects may have been half complete & benefits seen. Knowing this, the other camps are bent on superficial challenges like Kariba water levels. After the rains (closer to elections) they’ll need to find other areas to ridicule. Not so judge?
WHAT IS GOOD FOR THE CAMPAIGN! IS NOT WHAT IS GOOD FOR THE COUNTRY?

You not getting it, you cant just stop ‘old’ projects and start new ones, NO, ultimately its the public to benefit. BUT Lungu should start rolling out HIS OWN PROJECTS BASED ON HIS PROGRAMS.

So you would rather have a sissy of a president who cant venture on his path?, OBama just lifted sanctions and build a new relationship with Cuba after 50 years of hostility between the 2 nations, ask yourself how many US presidents passed and kept status quo with Cuba? Now thats legacy am talking ’bout.

All in good time judge, all in good time. Yes, It would be good for the president to start sharing his own outlook as we progress with what is on the ground. To hide in corporate decisions sometimes covers ‘weakness’ or inability to take bold or risky decisions (being a sissy). It time the president started coming out on his “tomorrows”
Let me see if I can get through to him.

A good president strive and work hard to leave his/her own legacy. Its only here in Africa we have presidents whose job ku nyopolafye while pointing a finger at other people’s legacy.

Alabene mukaipaya with your hating. Lekeni umunenu abombe, time will tell.

Do you need to do away with all projects started by your predecessor just to prove a point. Are the running projects not more than enough and well intended. Gentlemen Zambians are mature enough to see who is just an armchair critic. Some one who is learned can even blame the current Government for the Laod shedding. Muleenda go to SA, Zimbabwe and see what is going on. Fuel hike same day you hiked Kenya also hiked citing the dollar.

I can tell you, the difference between us and the western world, is that opposition do not just criticise, but also offer solutions that are well researched, documented and sustainable. For Americans believe you me they cherish their country whether through fire or water-that is their pride. They criticise but constructively so.

If you look at what America has been going through, if was this country, awe mwandini.

You can never find them going to stand before the international community to embarrass themselves. But us here we think pipo who over criticise are the best.

The problem we have as Zambian like many African countries is that, we have dependence syndrome. We think problems can only be solved by a white man. I really agree with u.

Can Yamfwa Mukanga , tell us what is happening in others roads, which were started by MMD, and then continued with PF, hasn’t been completed, eg, Old Mumbwa road, contractors haven’t been working for 2 months, machinery parked, due to non payment of the government and you want votes? Forget about central province. Why is the Kaloba money ?, Zambia wake up!!

Continuity in project implementation is all that matters.Feasibilties on some of these roads could have started in Chiluba’s time surveys in Mwanawasa’s marking and grading in Banda’s tarring in Sata’s and now Lungu. One thing for a fact is that not even Lungu will complete all the roads we need as Zambia.
