Two Police Officers Die In Ambulance Accident

Two police officers from Livingstone Central Police Station and four other people in Lusaka and Choma have died in separate road traffic accidents.
Southern Province commissioner of police Mary Chikwanda said the police officers died after the vehicle they were travelling in collided with an ambulance on the Livingstone-Kazungula road.
She identified the deceased as detective constable Kelvin Banda, who died on the spot, and sergeant Waza Kaluba, who died in Livingstone General Hospital’s intensive care unit.
Ms Chikwanda said the accident happened around 01:00 hours on Sunday after Mr Banda tried to overtake a stationary vehicle near Mount Meru filling station.
And in Lusaka, three people died on the spot while five sustained serious injuries after the bus they were travelling in overturned after a tyre burst on the Lusaka-Mumbwa road.

Should we blame the driver, the road or the vehicles?

In Zambia, Ambulances are used as Staff Buses. There’s no mention of the Ambulance ferrying patients or being on the way to an emergency.

      Ine TONDOLO, nganalandapo ati ‘frustrated’!
The writer was probably speaking on terms of Newton’s Relativity principles. The ‘stationary’ vehicle was moving at some speed relative to the moon & the speed of the ambulance was faster than the stationary vehicle. To the reporter (Mars) the ambulance overtook the stationary vehicle. Would that make sense?
NO!Then the writer is sozzled too!
