Zambians, have we really sank so low that we can celebrate the death of a fellow human being because of politics?
We all know as drivers that swaying is a reflex reaction. You can do that even for a dog.
Lets be sensitive to the families of the deceased.
Oh by the way who said those passengers were all Tonga? It seems that is what is making most bloggers behave like the devil himself. What ever tribe those accident victims were, they were Zambians created in the image and likeness of God.

Even Mazhandu Higer Buses must be banned. They are always catching fire and overturning. Recently even the trusted EuroBuses are catching fire – ban them!

It’s not a matter of banning a Toyota Noah but driving with care

      Agreed Easy P.
      1. In Bots, the Govt increased the road clearance to almost 100m each side to increase visibility – where is your RDA?
      2. The Noah driver chose to save a cow and eventually got people killed – was he overloaded or overspeeding?
      3. Kalomo Zimba road has unnecessary uphills and downhills that a intelligent RDA can tell a contractor to level out but alas!
      4. 50 years independence – by now L/stone – Solwezi should be a dual carriage way – again where is you RDA?

Finally most accidents in Zambia are attributed to incompetent drivers, incompetent RDA and RATSA, obsolete road designs – now that is a neutron bomb!

Bane lets be realistic honestry how do u bleme gvt on such an accident which is very clear negligence by the driver.how nd did a noah change capacity of loading 12people instead of its normal capacity of 8. We should think, reason nd read the story nd analis it.thats pure driver nd passengers fault.how do they allow to be loaded like pigs in a small vehicle.too bad to their families.

      August 25, 2015 at 10:34 am

Its impossible to load Noah bus with 12 adult people. Pliz specify that among the 12 could have been children then I can agree. Noah Bus normal capacity is 8 passengers. If you carry slim adults the two back row seats can each accomodate one extra passenger meaning ten is maximum overload unless another person is squeezed between the driver and front passenger seat making it 11 maximum overload. Anyway anything in Zambia is possible?
But has the government been well represented at the funerals like the case was with the ‘only four’ Mopani accident victims – mind you they are all accident victims be it mine or road accident. death is just death! Why politicize one funeral leaving many other funerals simply because they did not occur in your strongholds?

I hope they were all adults, I mean they were also drunk coz normal people with a normal driver can not be in a Noah that number and at 23;00 driving, were they going to beat up some people or what?
Hope no innocent child died coz of big people’s decision.

NEZ is an idiot. The Monze-Zimba road is the best road we have in Zambia. This chap is clueless.

    August 25, 2015 at 6:56 am

Realistically and honestly speaking, how can a serious government allow a family shopping basket vehicle to be used as a public transport vehicle? And we have a a government run agency RATSA whose mandate is to patrol and monitor traffic on our roads, from the look of things it like they are only interested in whether someone has paid his road tax, and if thy have a. driving license, these chaps are not even supposed to mount roadblocks, but should be by the roadside and just watch for erring drivers, pull them over and let the other traffic flow and ensure that every Zambian when they reach 18,they learn driving and get a driving license, i mean they have all the info on their system, on who has paid what taxes and who has not paid.

    • Bean

      August 25, 2015 at 1:22 pm

If they were bread winners, they would have considered the risk of being in an 8 seater Noah and they were 12 and also drunk possibly or the driver drunk.
Unless the situation is that the driver helped these people(11) with transport, but at 23;00 indicates that there is something Fiiish

Toyota noah and altezza, combined these two vehicles have claimed so many live in short period of tym, govt should try and enforce a deliberate policy which will regulate importantion of used cars..not just be interested in collecting customs duty..
