Acting Republican President Inonge Wina has congratulated the ruling PF and opposition UPND for winning the Lubansenshi and Solwezi West Parliamentary by-elections respectively.
Ms. Wina has also congratulated the losing political parties and candidates that participated in the two by-elections for being magnanimous in conceding defeat.
She is particularly pleased that despite the current economic challenges the country is experiencing, the Zambian people still repose trust and confidence in the leadership of the PF government under President Edgar Lungu’s guidance.
Ms. Wina who is also Republican Vice President has however expressed concern at the escalating levels of violence each time there is a by-election in the country.
She has warned political parties that encourage their cadres to be violent to be ready to face the wrath of the law enforcement agencies as violence in any form should not be entertained.
The Acting President has since appealed to all political parties in the Country to encourage their members to exercise peaceful campaigns each time there is an election.
She has also called upon all eligible voters especially youths to participate in voters registration exercise because voting is the hall mark of citizen’s participation in a democratic dispensation and which also ensures that their voice is heard.
This is according to a statement made available to Qfm News by the Senior Private Secretary in the Vice President’s office Sheila Siwela.

We thank you for the congrats and also congratulate you on your win. Wina seems sensible in approach and seems to take on the presidential responsibilites whereas lungu is just always travelling and doing nothing to help this country.

Try to write in a manner that you are understood. Granted, English is not our mother tongue but this is just pathetic.

Many a time have we have pro PF chaps writing in a similar fashion and you have turned a blind eye. Just because this is anti pf you see it fit to issue a comment that is demeaning. For your information, memphis show is a product of the failed education system under your party pf.

@Czar – maybe it’s the shorthand that confused your understanding of my comment, otherwise, nothing sinister. Just for your sake and those like you I’ll change from shorthand. My simple and straightforward comment is attributed to the confusion the pf government caused on the opposition in the northwestern province in fight to win the election.
And, believe it or not, pf is a failed project in Zambia.
