Fr Luonde Loses Case Against Church
MUBANGA NONDO, Ndola
THE Industrial Relations Court (IRC) has dismissed Father Richard Luonde’s lawsuit against the Anglican Church over the termination of his employment.
IRC chairperson Jones Chinyama sitting in Ndola recently with judges Joseph Bwalya and William Siame, dismissed the lawsuit on grounds that Fr Luonde’s dismissal was not done in bad faith in view of the poor relationship that existed between him and the congregants at the time.
Mr Justice Chinyama also said the church’s decision to terminate Fr Luonde’s contract was lawful as it was done under the conditions of service applicable to the contract.
Fr Luonde had sued the Anglican Church and Fr Albert Chama as first and second respondents, respectively, over the termination of his employment.
In his affidavit, Fr Luonde urged the court to order his reinstatement as pastor with full benefits and settle damages for what he termed as mental torture and anguish he suffered as a result of termination of his contract.
Fr Luonde also urged the court to award him costs or other relief that it would deem fit and expedient.
“The court bears in mind that the complainant served as a clergyman in the church and in our understanding, there was a definite breakdown of the relationship between him and the flock. We see nothing wrong with the termination of the contract, though curious in the sense that it involves a clergy and it is not an everyday occurrence.
“We conclude, therefore, that the complainant cannot succeed in his lawsuit and we dismiss it. We will, however, order either party to bear their own costs,” Mr Justice Chinyama said.
In their submissions, the respondents argued that the decision to terminate Fr Luonde’s contract was arrived at in consultation with the pastoral committee in pursuant to clause 4 of the Anglican Diocese after considering the souring relationship between Fr Luonde and the flock.
Fr Chama told the court that the congregants at St Peter’s Parish in Kitwe had on two occasions expressed dissatisfaction with Fr Luonde by locking the church, which prompted the church to transfer Fr Luonde to St Pauls’ Parish in Mwinilunga but he objected to the transfer.

Now all of you who support the Satanist Hakainde Hichilema who was born from an incestuous relationship when an uncle raped his niece to produce the evil Hakainde Hichilema, please give us a verse where the Bible supports SATANISM.
Therefore, much as you have a right to support your Satanick and highly tribalistic Hakainde Hichilema, bear in mind that the majority of Zambians fear God and therefore they cannot vote for your evil, Satanic and tribal Hakainde Hichilema (HH). This your Sanist will; only rule Zambia in 3016 (not 2016). Bear in mind that 3016 means one thousand (1000) years from now and by then your HH will have long died.

@Miyanda you started very well to reject insults but as you went on, misusing even scripture to insult a Mr. HH yours is the worst posting I ever come across. Sure are you a Zambian that you can sink so low in your thinking? Even if you hate a person can you insult even his innocent mother sure? Awe bane Zambians let’s have some decency as we debate. Politics can not us start insulting in this manner. Though I am not partisan I respect those who aspire for public office. Our late president Sata was being insulted thru and thru even by the likes of Chanda Chimba. What happened later? Who knew Sata will ever ascend the presidency? So let’s be careful even on this man you are insulting. You alone or others who post insults are not the only voters.

Hamakuba, you are right. Supporters of HH have a serious mental problem, that is why the majority who support HH are either money-hungry Satanists in form of businessmen or thigh vendors (sex workers) commonly called prostitutes.
The majority of HH’s supporters are blind tribesmen and their tribal cousins who only support him because he is Tonga. Tribe has blinded them from other necessary requirements needed to lead a country.
Other people who do not fall in these categories are mere rejects who were in a hurry to reap something from the PF, and when they saw that their benefits were not coming, they jettisoned themselves from the PF Boat.
Surely, how can you fail to see all the massive works President Lungu is doing, an indication that he is for this country genuinely. It is not a surprise that the old Dr. Guy Scott said that Lungu won because of God.
For a highly educated an experienced politician, old enough to be HH’s father, to say President Lungu won due to God’s hand, those ignoring this fact are equally ignoring God. By all standards, Dr. Guy Scott is a very normal, intelligent and wise leader whose counsel or guideline to this nation must not be ignored.
Never mind the hatred he exhibited towards President Lungu, he is also human, so he has his own negatives. But it is not everything that is bad about Dr. Guy Scott. His recognition that God played a role in making President Lungu win is one good thing about this muzungu doctor.

For God’s sake Zambia is a Christian nation, so please God cannot forsake this country be letting Hakainde Hichilema, who was wrongly born from raped involving and uncle and a niece, to rule this country. Hakainde is only a coward, he must learn from the brave Arabs, they take action instead living under such stigma or permanent shame like Hakainde has allowed himself to. I hope the freelance husband snatcher, Edith Nawakwi, understands this evil origination of Hakainde Hichilema, HH, so as to accept HH’s lack of genuine smile on his face.
Let HH renounce his Satanism and apologize to the Zambian people for his staunch tribalism, then in 2086, we shall make him the sole presidential candidate but he will; be only allowed to rule, first for six months on probation and then he will complete his normal term. Probation will come in order to ascertain his capability due to old age.

I thought the debate is on Father Luonde. How does HH come in to have such long commentary? On accusing him daily of satanist are you youself one so that you met in your worship. Have you not read the official stand of the Seventh Day Adventist Church that the man is a member and is elder in that church? Are you jealous because the man is a hardworking businessman who is gaining popularity even in so called PF stronghold? Keep insulting him as Chanda Chimba and Rupiah Banda were insulting M C Sata. The more this man HH is insulted, the more he is becoming more popular. You will be shocked in 2016 as Rupiah was. Zambians are not fool. By next year Kwacha will be more than K15 to a dollar. As for fuel worse. Bread @ K10. Mealie Meal @K100. I can go on and on. We are watching and our answer lies in the ballot box. Go on keep insulting Hakainde Hichilema. Say what you like. 2016 i is not too far away.

Sometimes or much of the time my heart bleeds to see so much hate of tribe expressed by bloggers here especially the coined expression of TONGAs ruling ZAMBIA after so many decades and now it is centuries. Can’t wait to hear what happens when the star of the movie comes back from hollywood..

Twetwe, your words touched my heart. I have not liked the idea of promoting hakainde on the basis of his ascension to the UPND presidency. I have found no reasonable defence or justification for what happened at that convention and the many spirits that were broken. And through the years, hakainde has not found it wise to mend the fences but holds on to the UPND presidency with no democratic tendencies. But to say “He won’t rule coz he is Tonga” is stupidity of the lowest rung.

But you can’t compare sata’s political muscle to that of hh.its like comparing the ability of a grade 1 to that of a grade 12.sata was a councillor,governor,mp,minister,party and republican president whereas hh has never been any of the above!
