Police Find More Guns In Kaizer’s House
LUSAKA Province police commissioner Charity Katanga says a team of investigators that went to search Kaizer Zulu’s house in Woodlands area, found more guns in his possession.
And police sources have disclosed that Zulu, who was yesterday released from detention, did not sleep in cells at Woodlands Police Station, but in one of the offices.
Meanwhile, State House permanent secretary Emmanuel Chilubanama has been blocked from travelling to New York to seek audience with President Edgar Lungu following revelations by Brian Hapunda that he has been corruptly receiving money from contractors.
Police who went to examine the scene of the Chrismar Hotel shooting did not find the cartridges, but when they searched Zulu’s house on Friday, they found 4 different types of guns apart from the one he used to fire at Kavindele’s vehicle.
They also found hundreds of ammunition in his house as well as the expanded cartridges which were used in the revolver at the Chrismar Hotel shooting.
But in an interview yesterday, Katanga said she could not divulge details of police findings from the search at Zulu’s house.
“So what happened was that, after the shooting, there were reports saying there was more than one gun in his vehicle and other related issues in relation to the shooting incident. So when he was arrested, we obtained a search warrant to go and search specifically for whether there were more fire arms, cartridges and other related issues. So that’s how the search was conducted and some fire arms, in addition to the one that police confiscated, some more fire arms were collected as well. We managed to pick the cartridges as well,” Katanga said.
Asked how many guns were found at Zulu’s house, Katanga said: “Aahh! Maybe for security reasons, spare me to tell you the number.”
When asked to comment on the revelation that Zulu was allowed to leave the holding cell in the night to sleep in one of the offices at Woodlands Police Station, Katanga said if the report was true, the culprit would be dealt with firmly.

Its not an offence to own a gun or guns but the issue is how you use the same. No sane person can support KZ s action but he is an adult who has his own private life. Kudos to ECL for allowing ZP to do investigations, its a mark of leadership. Let others who aspire for leadership take a leaf from this.

For God’s sake Zambia is a Christian nation, so please God cannot forsake this country be letting Hakainde Hichilema, who was wrongly born from raped involving and uncle and a niece, to rule this country. Even in 2016, Hakainde is losing.

I am Christian and do pray and fast. I hope the so called prayer and fasting declared will include repentance first and renewal of mind for all who will genuinely participate in this. I pray and hope its not taken as a common religious practice by common carders because prayer and fasting is serous believers higher dimension in pursuit for Jehovah God. I pray mary banda will part sincere ones to purge themselves first thing prior to anything…..
