PF Clarifies On Musicians’ Trip To New York

The ruling Patriotic Front has refuted reports that the trip for musicians and party officials to New York, USA was sponsored by government saying the reports are not true.

PF Media Committee and Publicity Vice Chairman Sunday Chanda has told QFM News via telephone that such reports are misleading clarifying that the trip was sponsored by the party.

Mr. Chanda has explained that the musicians’ air tickets, accommodation and other logistical arrangements were not on the state budget but on the party program.

Mr. Chanda believes that there were compelling reasons to the mode of travel for the Head of State to New York for UN General Assembly and arrived at by Cabinet Office.

He has furthermore explains that as a matter of fact, musicians to the Dinner where in USA days before President Lungu and his entourage could arrive and there costs in full where covered by friends of the party and PF-USA team.

And Mr. Chanda says there are other Heads of State who are attending the United Nations (UN) and whose countries have equally been hit by energy challenges and weakening currencies.Lungu and Dandy Krazy

KIKI these fools are pathetic. Surely even if as you claim that the budget was under PF, it is only a matter of consience for the ruling party to avoid spending on irrelevant issues when peopel are suffering. Why not cut on your party expenses inorder to show the people that indeed we are all suffering. Surely how does that reflect on us as leaders? This is why peopel are losing faith in politics. The PF is a useless party that only thinks about fattening themselves. Look at how fat kambwili has become. Gluttony

These Musician just found themselves at the right place at the right time. In the manner so to speak, they’ve long been wanting this international limelight appearance which just presented itself, mind you there is all and sundry. Talking about financing their trips, Mr Chanda may be right or wrong but you can’t scrap out the fact that there’re cadres out there and well wishers. remember, just recently the President did inform the world that the issue of Dual-Citizenship is now in the pipeline a thing which is a mouth-watering to our friends in the diaspora and tha would-be Zambians. “it may be a thing to cerebrate about”.
