Politicians Advised To Attend Prayer, Fasting Program

The Evangelical Fellowship of Zambia (EFZ) has encouraged politicians not to shun the national day of prayer and fasting declared by President Edgar Lungu.
EFZ Executive Director Reverend Pukuta Mwanza says politicians should instead use this as an opportunity to settle all their differences.
He says there is no justification for political players to shun this month’s national day of prayer and fasting program.
Reverend Mwanza says the church is concerned that some political parties have politicized the event even when they know that the initiative is aimed at bringing the people together.
Reverend Mwanza says he is aware that a good number of politicians go to church and see no reason why they should shun the event.
He states that politicians should look at the benefits this event will bring to the nation and not at the person who has declared the prayer and fasting.
And Independent Churches of Zambia (ICOZ) Board Chairman Bishop David Masupa has told QFM News in a separate interview that the church is disappointed that some politicians are refusing to attend this important event.
Bishop Masupa has since encouraged Zambians to ignore such leaders saying they do not mean well for the nation.

The clergy should be focusing on sharing the gospel and pointing people to Christ. Insisting that politicians attend the national day of prayer and fasting is politicking. Some politicians will come for political mileage others will shun to gain political mileage. True Christians know the importance of prayer politics aside and pray at all times.

Lungu said he had not failed to govern so now why are we having prayers. Can he please be honest in telling us that he has failed. We are willing to assist honest people.

So in your opinion HH doesn’t need prayers to govern. You think prayers are only meant for “failures”. You think your assistance is more important than seeking God.

Everyone is a politician imwe bangwele, including yourselves! This day is only for PF cronies as most Zambians pray & fast everyday:only those who are guilt of their actions to others are calling for that!Believe me you that only those happy with the actions & dealings of PF to its people will succumb to this rhetorical ranting!Just barely a week ago,the PF morons were busy intimidating, shooting, corrupting, uttering evil speeches & many other diabolical uncouth words were said to their perceived rivalries openly in public & then one now is saying pwetepwetepwete! Please you so called Pastors & President-Lungu,get this free advice-the gullible semi illiterates & lounge lizards you have in your churches & parties MUST NOT be mistaken to mean others outside your influence! Most people are far way ahead of your swallow single minded view!People are far more intelligent than you & you are seen as pawns in Zambia delaying their destiny!People know exactly what they want now than never before & as such you can not patronise them on your primitive gimmicks!A leader is suppose to think ahead of the masses but now,its like you are behind the people that you are purported to be leading!

These prayers for reconciliation and fasting thing is now reminding me of Daniel chapter 6, even self proclaimed bishops like masupa have slowly lost the little bible knowledge they had in their heads, let’s remove chagwa from this equation, and let’s see how many will follow this decree, most you chaps will be worshipping chagwa on that day, those not in attendance will be viewed as not well meaning Zambians, it’s all meant for chagwa to gain political mileage, using God’s name? Bane mwilasheteka lesa, Daniel 5 vs 24……see what the part of hand, ukuboko, chikasa, liboko, kwanja, janza, lizo, sent from him does on that day.

This is no time for debate or politicking about prayer. Those who cannot separate politics and a call to
prayer may find themselves on the wrong side of
History. No man can fight a call to prayer. Let us fight
other topics. The bible encourages every believer to pray and we are to do it without ceasing.

I call on all Zambians, of all denominations that
believe in the power of God and power of prayer to
Call on God to intervene in the affairs of Zambia.

May the God of Israel, hear us in Jesus’ Name and make us an example to other nations.

Iwe you are there in the UK due to pfs poverty. These problems are not caused by lack of prayer. I thought zambia is a Christian nation. The problems are caused by incompetent leaders in pf who have failed to manage our economy. I thought being in uk would have opened your brain.

This is but a farce as most politicians are members of secrect societies ie Freemason, bohemian grove,R.A.O.B and Lions club.I wonder who they will be fasting and praying to.This October is the last lunar month for satanists who are already in fasting and satanic prayers. This monthend is also a major satanic holiday Halloween.
