Kaizer Chiefs midfielder, Willard Katsande, has explained how his team plan to deal with Mpumalanga Black Aces striker, Collins Mbesuma.
The Amakhosi and AmaZayoni go head to head in the quarterfinals of the Telkom Knockout on Saturday at the Mbombela Stadium, with proceedings scheduled to get underway at 18h00.
Former Chiefs striker, Mbesuma, will provide the firepower for the Mpumalanga-based outfit and the Amakhosi’s hard man, Katsande, explained how they plan to keep the hitman quiet come Saturday.
“I know that the game against Aces will be tough. They have shown this season that they can play against big teams and get results, and we are aware of that,” Katsande told Soccer Laduma.
“I knew it would be a tough game from the time I heard we would be playing Aces. We all know that Collins Mbesuma is a good striker who has an eye for goal so we won’t give him room to play.
“If you allow him space, time and room to turn in the box, he will hurt you. We will not allow him to turn in the box. But we have great defenders who can stop any striker, including Collins.”
‘King Salt’ has unfortunately been ruled out of this tie through suspension but will bank on his fellow teammates to keep ‘Ntofontofo’ at bay
