Don’t Shun Events- Opposition told
People’s Party leader, Mike Mulongoti, has called on ALL opposition Political party leaders not to shun national events.
Mr. Mulongoti says national events such as Independence Day celebrations do not belong to one single political party.
He has told ZNBC News at the Freedom Statue in Lusaka that during times of commemorating national days, all quarrels and differences should be set aside.
Mr. Mulongoti has pointed out that there are no enemies in the Political arena but only competitors.
And Fourth Revolution Party leader, Erick Chanda, has said shunning national events is an insults to Zambian Freedom fighters.
Mr. Chanda said national events are not a monopoly of an individual or a single party but it is for all Zambians.
Mr. Mulongoti and Chanda were some of the opposition leaders, that attended the wreath laying event at the Freedom Statue.
President Edgar Lungu and Visiting King Mswati of Swaziland led Service Chiefs and Diplomats accredited to Zambia in laying wreaths.
The Movement for Multiparty Democracy -MMD- has welcomed government’s stance to empower and support indignant Zambian entrepreneurs.
And the MMD National Youth Secretary, Bowman Lusambo says the move is progressive adding that it will help most Zambians grow their business and the economy.
Mr. Lusambo told ZNBC news in Lusaka that Zambians must consider up scaling their investment to fully participate in the country’s economy.
He said Zambians especially the youth now appreciate President Lungu more than before because of his love for them.
Mr. Lusambo however castigated some Ministers whom he accused of trying to frustrate President LUNGU’s vision of empowering and protecting indignant Zambian investors.
Meanwhile, Agriculture Minister Given Lubinda says those that have shunned this year’s Independence anniversary celebrations have denied themselves the opportunity to celebrate the birth of a new year ahead of the next fifty years.
Mr. Lubinda has meanwhile commended the Rainbow party and Patriotic Front for participating in this year’s independence celebrations in Choma, Southern province.
Mr. Lubinda who was speaking in Choma Southern Province when he graced the Independence celebrations however said government will continue striving to develop the country according to the new transformation agenda that hopes to uplift the country’s status in the next fifty years..
Meanwhile Southern Province Minister Nataniel Mubukwanu says Zambia has moved ahead all partisan lines and political parties should come back to their senses and stop shunning national events.

Mulongoti is a unip era style politician who thinks you can go and commemorate such events at freedom statue, later go for reception at state house, this day is not about where the president is there you must be also, How about spending time with the underprivileged in society on such a day, UPND veep banda and president HH had some beautiful commemorations of this special day for our country at an orphanage.

Pf also never attended these events when they were in opposition. So its not strange. In any case, in mpika, kasama, copperbelt etc, the opposition UPND, were there.

To summarize everything HH is not obliged to attend meetings organised by PF Government. HH is not the one ruling this country at the moment and he is not answerable to any mess going on. When his time comes, he will be answerable to us and will scrutinize and criticize him if need be.

How can a normal person in their rightful mind keep supporting a failing Government like this one. Wake up and smell the coffee…this Government is a total failure led by failures. Even ’hardcore supporters like Club Zero and Tutu have stopped supporting this nonsense of a Government and that is what I call objectivity. They were objective enough to see that they are being taken for a ride.

If opposition members continue to be arrested and detained,called all sorts of names and denied to campaign freely does one expect to join the perpetrators to dine,wine and make merry. The answer is a big NO.Zambian political maturity is non existence. PF was in actual fact very notorious for shunning state functions when in opposition even when the political atmosphere then was good.

HH is such a person who likes creating an impression that he is good,but his actions are bad and the love of God is not in him. Love is a fruit of the Holy spirit which can be seen.You shall know them by their fruits. He is proud,pompous,arrogant and think that only his opinion is the best. God opposes the proud and gives grace to the humble (James 4:6). Am not judging but actions can tell.

How many Political Parties do we have in Zambia?Before it is too late can we weed out the Parties that do not even have wards or any other following.We cannot have one man show parties chewing tax payers money for nothing.The economy is not doing fine.Where are they to offer solutions.Come 2016 we do not want splitting of votes.Can they state their positions now.We do not want endorsement of lies.Where are you Oppositions.Do not hibernate like frogs when the rains are about to go.Come out when the earth is still hard to scratch.
