U-23 Call-Up Excites Luchanga

LUSAKA Dynamos striker Conlyde Luchanga is elated with the call-up to the under-23 national team.
Luchanga said in an interview in Lusaka on Wednesday that the call-up has motivated him to work hard.
On Monday, under-23 coach Fighton Simukonda said Luchanga will be part of the squad at the CAF Senegal Africa Under-23 Championship kicking off on November 28 in Dakar.
Zambia are in Group A alongside South Africa, Tunisia and hosts Senegal.
“My inclusion in the under-23 national team is motivating,” Luchanga said .
Luchanga is eager to excel at the Rio de Janeiro Olympic qualifying event.
The 18-year-old scored Zambia’s second goal on his debut in a 3-0 victory over Mozambique during the 2016 Rwanda African Nations Championship (CHAN) last round first leg on October 17 at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in Ndola.
The Lusaka Dynamos player replaced Festus Mbewe in last Sunday’s 1-1 draw against Mozambique.
Chipolopolo edged the Mambas 4-1 on aggregate to secure a slot at the CHAN finals.
Zambia will open the campaign with a tricky tie against Tunisia on November 28 at Stade Leopold Sedar in Dakar.

we hope Luchanga is truly 18years old, age cheating in africa is killing sport and talent.u find that a zambian player by the time is reaching 28years the legs are tied, sometimes age cheating disadvantages the same players,eg patson daka, emmanuel mbola just to mention a few, were supposed to be signed by big teams due to their age on papers were not signed.also stop abusing players, the same player playing in under 17,20,23 and national team.as far as am concerned under 17 years players are school boys in zambia doing there grade 9 or 10,as we know footballers repeat alot,in short there is no player who feature in national team under 17 who is 17years and below.u will find africans winning minor world cups but not the major world cups.
