Fred M’membe Fires Journalist Over State House Connection
Fred M’membe has fired post newspaper Journalist,Tilyenji Mwanza for allegedly having a cordial relationship with State House press aide Amos Chanda.
she was M’membe’s courier to State House information but seems to have been sacrificed.

If the story is true, then M’membe has lost it completely. We are not at war for people to start avoiding one another. In any case, just like in any other profession, these journalists are friends despite working for different institutions or organisations.

Zambian journalism is too partisan especially in the last 07 years. We have to investigate what has exactly gone wrong in the industry, could be a ‘wrong person’ in the political arena with highly divisive attributes.

Shaka you have said it all. If this is true, then Membe has totally gone crazy. By the way, all his incessant attacks of ECL has not benefitted his prefered candidate Kabimba, but has indirectly earned HH some supporters, leaving him outside the political influence he so craves.

Do you need to be a zoologist for you to own a butchery my man? Mmembe did not need to be a journalist to own a newspaper what matters is the kind of journalists you can get from the market. Actually most of the business successful men and women globally are not trained in what they sell or services they give – its just how you master the trade!

JJB I didn’t know that you are this ignorant. You mean you can be doctor without a medical qualification? There are professions where you not only learn how to the job but there are specific rules & laws called ethics to follow. In one breath you down rate those not qualified in another you support the same. I call this lack of principle.

Mmembe made a big mistake by aligning his paper with Sata’s PF. Now he is frustrated because the current PF leader is not bowing to his influence. This is a big lesson for all those who own private newspapers. Remain indepenent and principled. Politicians come and go.

When those cops were fired for being partisan and releasing information to HH, Mmembe carried headlines of chief mukuni in order to paint Edgar black.
