PF: Kabimba Must Apologies

THE Patriotic Front (PF) legal team has asked Rainbow Party presidential candidate Wynter Kabimba to apologise to Zambians for failing to deliver a people-driven constitution when he was minister of Justice.
The PF’s legal counsel, Tutwa Ngulube, said in a statement yesterday that when Mr Kabimba presided over the constitution-making process as minister of Justice he acted under the spirit of collective responsibility.
It was therefore wrong for him to turn around to attack the same document he kept on behalf of the government.
Mr Ngulube was reacting to allegations by Mr Kabimba at his press briefing on Sunday that President Lungu had removed most of the provisions from the Constitution he signed last week.
“We find sentiments attributed to Mr Kabimba as acts of sour grapes. Mr Kabimba, as a citizen and State Counsel, is free to criticise Government, but he is not expected to mislead the public,” he said.
Kabimba must apologise
“We therefore urge Mr Kabimba to apologise to the people of Zambia for having failed to deliver a people-driven Constitution when he was a minister of Justice,” Mr Ngulube said.
Mr Ngulube said the PF has noted that Mr Kabimba was minister of Justice driving the process of the constitution-making until he was replaced by Mr Lungu.
He said Mr Kabimba never objected to or opposed any of those clauses that he is now accusing Government of doctoring.
“The truth of the matter is that Mr Kabimba has failed to adequately address the issues of the delay in giving the people of Zambia the Constitution they wanted. Mr Kabimba has nothing to show to prove that the Constitution was doctored,” he said.
Mr Ngulube also said civil society organisations and political parties will also remember that they were always appealing to Mr Kabimba as minister of Justice to disclose the contents of the draft constitution but he did not do so.
He said Zambians are aware that President Lungu promised to deliver a people-driven Constitution and that he has done just that.
Mr Ngulube said it is therefore not proper for Mr Kabimba to now say the contents were doctored because he did not give the Zambians an opportunity to look at the draft when it was in his custody.

Kabimba has a lot to apologize for. Do you recal how he caused violence in Mangango? He thinks we easily forget? Thank God Sata (MHSRP) realised early how destructive Kabimba is and disappointed him when he was yet to start another voilence in Luapula Province. I, for one I have no kind words for him – as if he is not a lawyer. These are people who are turnishing the image of the profession.

Seriously is this what’s preoccupying PF nowadays? A legal team to make Kabimba apologise for not delivering the constitution? Really? With all what’s happening in Zambia with economic pressure this is all they are busy on? God bless helping, let’s give em a rest this year they are tired.

It’s like everyone in PF has gone mad; no one seems to reason properly

I thought Kabimba would quote in the singed constitution which he would claim that it has been doctored, but alas the man still with bitterness fired up blank statement in the air.
