UPND National Youth Chairman Likando Mufalali says President Edgar Lungu must publicly state his position over remarks made by Chief Government Spokesperson Chishimba Kambwili during a ZNBC TV interview on Sunday.
Mr. Mufalali who is also Senanga Member of Parliament says President Lungu should also take appropriate action against PF officials who have gone on rampage peddling divisive and tribal politics.
He says it is worrying that while Mr. Kambwili always finds it appropriate to openly attack the people of Southern Province, the Head of State is seemingly quiet.
Mr. Mufalali says this might be construed to mean that the Information and Broadcasting Services Minister has the backing of the President.
He states that Mr. Kambwili’s statement is divisive, uncalled for and an affront on the Country’s peace and unity.

I listened to the whole interview, he touched on a number of issues: global mining downturn, global job losses, kwacha depreciation in relation to depreciation of other major currencies. Energy deficiency and climate change. After he completed all these issues thats wen gravazial asked about tribalism, he condemned it, he was against it and he warned southerners about their voting pattern which may force others to do the same. There was no attack, only a word of caution. What he said was the feeling of many non-tonga zambians on the voting pattern of tongas. The reaction of non-tonga zambias to this, will ensure that hh cries again.
