The Zambia national team is now on board a RwandAir flight to Kigali ahead of the start of the 2016 CHAN finals. The flight has a one hour stop-over at Lusaka.
Chipolopolo yesterday completed a week of successful intensive training in Johannesburg which included two practice matches – the 2-1 win over Angola and 0-0 against Mamelodi Sundowns.
Zambia opens her campaign against Zimbabwe before taking on Uganda and Mali in Group D.

This tournament is not one in which to participate with the aiming of winning it – it should an opportunity to expose the young and upcoming players to the big international stage. It’s not for the tired and tested like Chris Katongo and Chansa; yabaiche!!! so, as far as am concerned this is a wasted opportunity to expose our young talent. I wish all the best nonetheless.
