Do Civil Servants Aspiring As MPs Or Councillors Need 3 Years To Resign?

My perusal of the constitution reveals that there is no specific clause requiring 3 years. Unless I have not seen it but I have found something interesting in constitution.
Articles 70-72 disqualify a public servant, Constitutional office holders or judicial officers from running for elections.
Articles 186 subsection 1-2 indicate that if these public officers want to participate in elections they must resign.
Nothing in Article 186 says you need 3 years notice.
I have read the notice period required for Constitutional office holders like ATTORNEY GENERAL, SOLICITOR GENERAL, SECRETARY TO THE TREASURY AND DPP, the notice period required for them to resign from office is 3 months. Reason for resignation is not specifically stated.
Article 186 subsection 2 says that Article 186( 1) which requires public officers to resign also applies to constitutional office holders.
The combined Interpretation is that public servants and Constitutional office holders require 3 months notice to resign from office for elections.
I am still conducting my research on the subject but thought I should give my preliminary opinion on this Troubling and seemingly pressing question.
