Grade 12 Mess

Grade 12 Mess

By Elias Munshya
Apparently, the Patriotic Front legal advisor has sent out an advisory to prospective 2016 candidates to have their Grade 12 certificates verified by the Examinations Council of Zambia.
According to Mr. Tutwa Ngulube, the Electoral Commission of Zambia will only accept certificates that are verified by the Examinations Council of Zambia. I am surprised by what Mr. Ngulube is saying.

Clearly, Mr. Ngulube is putting words into the constitution and interpreting it using his own ideas. Grade 12 certificate issued by Examinations Council of Zambia is not the qualification, it is only one of the qualifications that range from anything equivalent to Grade 12 to anything higher than secondary education.
Since Mr. Ngulube acts for the ruling party, his pronouncements might be mistaken for government policy. We all need to ignore this gentleman and wait for ECZ to give us clear directions.

If Mr. Ngulube is so concerned, why is he not asking that candidates also verify their Green National Registration Cards with Home Affairs? If he can’t demand for verified NRCs where on earth does he get the guts to ask for verified Grade 12 certificates? I think, I have got the answer: some in the Patriotic Front want to use the Grade 12 requirements to fix each other. They are a mess. A grade 12 mess.

Because God made you for a reason, he also decided when you would be born and how long you would live. He planned the days of your life in advance, choosing the exact time of your birth and death. The Bible says, “You saw me before I was born and scheduled each day of my life before I began to breathe. Every day was recorded in your book!” [Psalm 139:16]
The human cost [of WWII], not including between 5.6 million and 5.9 million Jews killed in the Holocaust who were indirect victims of the war, is estimated to have been 55 million dead—25 million of those military and 30 million civilian.
    In addition, according to Encarta:
    • 61 countries participated in WWII
    • 1.7 billion people participated in WWII
    • 75% of all human beings alive at the time participated in WWII
World War II was obviously a major disaster — perhaps the most horrific event the world has ever seen. It is safe to say that nearly every human being on planet Earth prayed to God that this war would end.
So, on the one hand you have a religion that says, “God has planned the days of your life in advance.” On the other hand that same religion says, “Pray to God and he will answer your prayers.” One of those two statements must be false. In fact, both of them are wrong…

      1. God gives mankind freedom of choice. We can choose to follow Him and take a stand for righteousness, or we can rebel against Him and pursue evil. Thus we can choose to submit to his plans or not. However, the problem resides in the heart of man. “The heart is deceitful above all things and beyond cure. Who can understand it?” (Jeremiah 17:9). Until man’s heart turns to God, the world will continue to witness “ethnic cleansings,” genocides, and atrocities such as the Holocaust and/ or world wars.
      2. God answers prayers. It doesn’t matter when he does it. He can do it now or in the life to come. You said “It is safe to say that nearly every human being on planet Earth prayed to God that this war would end”. Here is my answer, The prayers were answered and we no longer have world war II.

Psalm 139:16 is not in reference to you and I. Its in reference to Jesus. the Psalms are referred to by the Jews as the Messianic Hymms. meaning songs all about the life of Jesus to come, even conversations between Yeshua (Jesus) and YAWEH (Father). I would advise you to read the whole bible at least 5 times before commenting on it. Its also written that its Gods will that all should be saved…..yet clearly that is not happening. This also shows that all things that happen are not His will nor His plan, (1 Timothy 2:4; 2 Peter 3:9; Ezekiel 18:23; Matthew 23:37).

But what is wrong to verify the results with the examining body. Not long ago there was a case with Masumba, if results were verified it couldn’t have reached that far.

Let us not condemn everything as long as it comes from the perceived opponents.

Zambians like talking too much. What is wrong with verifying the results? Oh my God help us. You can not enter any college or university without verifying your qualicafications. Why do we like arguing please. Sometimes you wonder the thinking of the so called educated people in our beloved country.

Pwanya whatever. I always read your wayward comments on religion and God in particular because I like reading. For sure it is very difficult to reconcile the Bible because it has a lot of Lacunas to make it aunthentic with expected authority. However let us believe in a spiritual God . The Bible is not the final authority of God.

Am not a lawyer but av never seen a dull lawyer like this ka munshya. His arguments are so shallow and so stupid. Certification of documents is just to avoid forgery and fraud and therefore is a precaution. How can this be in a constitution. A constitution is a framework. It can’t mention everything….PF need to be commended actually for such a move..not to be politicized. Ba munshya I know u make so much noise to sound reel and wise but u achieve the contrary….you sound unschooled and f.oolish….a quack of a lawyer who has avoided Ziale like a Prague. So shut the f up…

It’s only Tongas like you and Munkombwe who miscalculate and think it’s time for Tongas to rule. Which pipo have decided to change? Southern Province is not Zambia papa!!

  13. Kambwili   March 3, 2016 at 9:37 am

Denkete – stop dreaming and talking about tribes. You are the chaps dividing this country with your divisive statements. This time around we are not voting based on which tribal one comes from. Going by the big financial troubles we are facing, we are concentrating on looking at the best candidate.
And to be honest among the political players Lungu can’t be a BEST candidate UNLESS voting will be based on what you Denkete beliveve in. But going by the suffering we are going through and debt trapp PF is putting us in no reasonable person with feelings can go for them.
