Speaker Directs Mwila To Issue Statement On Presence of Police In Choma

Speaker of the National Assembly Patrick Matibini has directed Home Affairs Minister Davies Mwila to issue a ministerial statement on the continued heavy presence of Paramilitary Police officers in Choma district.
This follows a point of order raised by Choma central Member of Parliament Cornelius Mweetwa over the continued heavy presence of Police officers whom he said are arbitrary arresting people.
Mr Mweetwa wondered whether Choma is under a curfew which has not been officially declared in view of the heavy police presence.
He said his office has received numerous complaints from the residents of Choma over the harassment they are being subjected to by Police officers at night.
Police were deployed to Choma following the outbreak of political violence last month.
And the Speaker has also directed the Home Affairs Minister to issue a ministerial statement on the arrest of alleged UPND militia members.

Dictatorship type of government. The PF government is struggling to pay civil servants yet it has money to deploy security forces in Bwengwa and Choma. The PF government has no strategy to resolve the current mealie meal shortages and yet it has mechanisms to sponsor their cadres. Has PF government also deployed Police in Shiwangandu, Kitwe, Ndola, Sinda, Kafue etc, the areas where PF Cadres orchestrated violence? Where is fairness? We are observing what is happening and one day we shall testify.

Add your comment if you are not going to publish my comments then I will have enough proof that you are UPND cadres. Choma central member of parliament, Mr Conelius Mweetwa can not waste his time by start asking Home Affairs minister mr Davies Mwila to issue a ministerial statement concerning the huge presence of police officers in Choma. Mr Mweetwa if your memory is short let me remind you that its not so long ago when your indispline cadres were harassing innocent motorist who refused to raise UPND symbol. Secondly, UPND cadres ambushed the presidential motor cade in Bweengwa. As a law maker mr Mweetwa obviously knows very well that this is treason. Tame your cadres please, other wise the IG is in order to deploy police men where there is an influx of mindless cadres in order to maintain peace and order. Other wise your party will always remain in opposition for ever. I know this is a very painful truth to stormach by UPND members. This law should also be applied to all stupid PF cadres. We love peace and unity. Stay blessed.
