Lungu Must Be Careful, Fr. Frank Bwalya Seems Ungrateful And Not Loyal To Friends

Lungu Must Be Careful, Fr. Frank Bwalya Seems Ungrateful And Not Loyal To Friends

By Chilufya Tayali

For the past few days, I have been running around trying to see how we can sustain The Zambian Voice according to its objectives other than just being political commentators, due to lack of resources.

Most of you judge me and think I am bankrolled, and I wish it was the case, then I would have had the Newspaper on the streets. I would not be a one man NGO because I would be surrounded other workers and professional writers to correct my mistakes in my articles. Unfortunately the grass is greener from afar, you need to be near me and see the struggle.

Issues of resources or income are a huge problem among Activists/Advocates in our Country. This causes many of us to compromise on principle and morality. Survival becomes the ultimate objective in whatever we do, especially those in politics.

It is time for elections and most of the politicians have activated their senses of lies, deception, malice, betrayal, corruption and all forms trickery to keep or getting into power.

I must say confess I am not innocent in this though my objective is not power but to see what I can get for my poor people and the unjustly treated and of course my survival.

One Anglican Priest from Lusaka, likes to say, that it is not a problem to fall, as a human being, but how you fall. There are a lot of moral and theological teachings we can draw from that but I will leave that to you.

At one point I criticized Fr. Frank Bwalya in the Daily Nation when President Sata was still alive. Fr. Bwalya called me to complain about my criticisms and told me that he had spoken to GBM about it.

A few minutes later GBM called me to his office where he counselled me and encouraged me to embrace Fr. Bwalya as a brother. I appreciated GBM for his intervention.

When Fr. Bwalya was arrested GBM rendered him support during his tribulations. I am sure GBM, being a generous man, helped Fr. Bwalya in some other personal issues as well just like he did to me.

Many people know GBM from the emotional side because even when he speaks, he is emotional and passionate. GBM is naturally a fighter in everything and he puts his whole self in whatever he is doing. When things don’t go right, he is ready to even get physical.

However, GBM is a very soft guy when engaged on one on one. A number of times GBM shouted at me like no one has ever done in my life but to-date GBM is my friend and a brother (not because of tribe but by interaction and association).

For all the times I differed with GBM, because of what I told him, I engaged him with reason and we reconciled very nicely. My desire for reconciliation with those I have come close to, especially those who have invited in their houses and eaten with them on the same table, is my symbol of loyalty and fraternity.

We all make mistakes and it is the obligation of those who are close to us to counsel us and help us come out of whatever situation we are in, just like GBM did to Fr. Bwalya. However, what is Fr. Bwalya doing to GBM?

Fr. Bwalya has abandoned a man who stood by him in times of difficulties so that President Lungu can love him more and look keep him comfortable. Fr. Bwalya has put his survival first before our moral obligation of being brothers to others.

I am not approving all the activities of GBM and UPND but I WILL NOT ABANDON GBM, rather I would engage him wherever I think he has gone wrong.

How can Fr. Bwalya be the one to drag GBM to the police in an analogical or figure of speech which he (Fr. Bwalya) understands much better than most of us because he spent years learning about such while he was in the seminary. Jesus Christ mostly used figure of speech and analogies to transmit his message and as a disciple of Jesus (Priest), you are taught about this.

If figure of speech is a crime, then Fr. Bwalya should have been jailed when he called Late President Sata “Chuumbu munshololwa”. GBM stood by Fr. Bwalya and the DPP entered a nolle in his favor but today he wants GBM hanged for the same crime he committed.

This reminds me of the Parable of the Unmerciful Servant in the Bible (Matt 18:21-35), where this servant was given of his debts by the master but later the same servant dragged his friend to court for the debts he owed him.

Fr. Bwalya is over doing politics and being hypocritical and I will not accept it even if he is trying to impress the man (President Edgar Lungu) I am supporting for Presidency in this year’s elections.

President Lungu has been forgiving people for their mistakes, but for him (Fr. Bwalya) within a short time of being Chairman of PF Press Committee, he fired Sunday Chanda like he was firing people in his ABZ party.

We should not hoodwink President Edgar Lungu with cheap politics which might even cost him at the end of the day. Let’s face President Lungu with the truth and good advise. President Edgar Lungu is a very good person but let us not tent him with false hero worshiping when he is a humble man. This is how we destroy our leaders.

No wonder Jesus rebuked Simon Peter in Matt: 16:23 (Jesus turned and said to Peter, “Get behind me, Satan! You are a stumbling block to me; you do not have in mind the concerns of God, but merely human concerns.” )

I wonder what guarantee one can have with Fr. Bwalya because when he does not get what satisfies him, he jumps out like he did with Priesthood, then Sata, his party members and now GBM. I wonder who is next.

Yes, I also turn around on people but it is not because they have not given me what I expected, otherwise I would not be Keizer Zulu’s, among so many people who have promised me help but not delivered, including Bishop Choma who is forever in meetings.

I talk about issues in truth even if you have given me something if you are wrong. I will not support GBM in wrong things but I will not disown him just because I want to eat from President Lungu.

Life is tough yes, but lets try to be honorable as we seek survival.

Well spoken young man. What you have said is true, it’s topical of fr bwalya. This man does not mean well to EL and the party. Fr bwalya and dr mumba are one and the same. Both of them are money lovers, these two men are friends of the devil. It’s a timely advise not only to Prsdt EL but to the whole family of pf. Ba EL take this advise from this young man seriously.

This article by Tayali is an advert about his financial problems and holding out a plate for money in exchange with articles like this one. He has even chosen to lie shamelessly. For instance in the Chumbu munshololwa case the state didn’t enter a nolle. I was acquitted. Tayali ulelomba. But now many people know you and so they are not helping you because you are fond of attacking people who have helped you with money when you are offered more by their rivals. So now you want money from GBM family. While trying to keep the door to PF open. Mulekwatako insoni.

i was the first person to coment about the first article watchdod wrote that Tayali reported GBM to central police. What i exactly said was that “ili lyena lishilu, for frank to remain in power is an issue of life and death”. Politics are social clubs but for frank its a livelyhood. As i always say,i suport upnd because am conviced HH can deliver,i have never even mate HH,i saw him from from a terrace 3 yrs ago at pamozi when Syakafuswa,Singombe dundumwenze mp and Msiska defected to upnd while i was in zambia. Edgar must be careful with Frank, sorry iam just hearing that Sunday Chanda got chucked out. There are times i would want to believe Edggar is a good man but when i look at people around him,i fail to understand why he keeps them,Chilufya Tayali should wise up,Lungu and his boys are one and the same.

GBM should not forget that he is a total stranger in UPND and when you are a stranger you are a stranger. ( you cant be a king becoz no one can fear your authority)

Tayali is right but frankly speaking he is no better than Bwalya. They both lack principles. They are inconsistent. They are professional vuvuzelas. They are hired guns. These muppets dance to the tune of the highest bidder.

This fool is not a father. Please he is now a ka mere frank. Frank is an expert boot licking cadre who comes with many years experience of sucking up to the powers that be in order for his survival. He is like a tick who sticks around when he has something to suck on. For now the idiot is eating under pf so to him he will support any nonsense that lungu says. If lungu today said that franks mother is a dog this frank guy would give a reason why he thinks that is true. He lacks respect and integrity. Come august the fool will want to join upnd
