Geoffrey Bwalya Mwamba is spending a priceless weekend behind bars after police arrested him for the second time in 48 hours with yesterday’s charge being threatening violence.
Mwamba, who on Wednesday was charged with illegal drilling, was apprehended at his Kabulonga home after a call out was served on his lawyers on Thursday.
On Wednesday upon release, Mwamba, popularly known as GBM, said that he would go for President Edgar Lungu’s throat for what he termed persecution.
Patriotic Front deputy information chairperson Frank Bwalya reported GBM to the Lusaka Central police for allegedly threatening the life of President Lungu.
Mwamba was elusive on Thursday but could not sustain his evasiveness on Friday.
His lawyers were at the Lusaka Central police where they furiously attempted to have him released him on police bond, but with no luck.
