It’s Up To Charly Musonda Jr To Decide To Play For Zambia – Mother

Angela Musonda, the mother of sensational Chelsea midfielder Charles Musonda Jr, says the decision to feature for Zambia squarely rests on the 19-year-old.
Angela took to social media to respond to requests made through her inbox and that of her husband Charles Snr on whether their son will honour a call up to Zambia.
Chipolopolo stand-in coach George Lwandamina has extended a call up to the enterprising youngster who is turning statistics in Spain but sources suggest the former Mufulira Wanderers defender is playing to the gallery as the problem is bigger than meets the eye.
“Kindly stop harassing me or Charles Musonda via inbox requesting to know if Musonda will play for Zambia. Maybe you mean well, but hey it’s too much, stop it‼
“For your own information. He qualifies to play for Belgium and England too. But no one is bothering us from those 2 countries because they know that the decision is not theirs but the boy himself. Now twist this one as well if you are a hater. Go on,” Angela said.
Sources, however, state that it is difficult for Charles Musonda Snr to play for Zambia as long as FAZ president Kalusha Bwalya is directly involved in the management of the game.
According to the source, Bwalya and Musonda have never enjoyed a good relationship from their playing days.
Their relations, according to a source, hit rock bottom when Musonda had been called to play for the senior national team in the late 90s.
Kalusha made a comment mocking Musonda’s nagging knee injury that had blighted his career.
“Kalusha one told his brother Joe (Bwalya); kuti muleikala shani pa bench but ifilema fileteya. This was in the presence of other team mates and Charles himself heard.
“At that point, he vowed never to play for Zambia or have anything to do with Zambian football as long as Kalusha was involved,” the source said.
“In case you want proof, have you ever heard Kalusha say anything positive about Charles’ son?”
Charly Jr is a sensational player and is making headlines in Europe with his skill and talent.

Who can blame this young man. I mean who can want to play for a country that is run by the pf who have caused suffering om their own people. Who are persecuting opposing views. A country which has a corrupt FAZ run by self imposed pf cadre kalusha bwalya. Charly we ask you to.remain patient and rethink this when upnd wins in august.

This has nothing to do with politics. If you have read the story, you’d have gotten it that there seems to be personal conflict between Kalusha and Charles Musonda Snr. Patriotism has nothing to do with whether UPND or PF is in power.

The mother to this ka boy is sarcastic. Te bakulile mukankoyo aba. This boy has never lived in Africa and if he decides to play for Zambia that will be a very big culture shock that will greatly affect his performance on the pitch. Let’s forget him playing for Zambia.
