Special Assistant to the President for Political Affairs Kaizar Zulu has greatly warned President Lungu against the continuous detention of the UPND Vice President Geoffrey Bwalya Mwamba (GBM) as it was denting the image of the ruling party and uplifting that of the UPND through sympathy. The political expert said that following President Hakainde Hichilema’s political ralies that he was able to command on the Copperbelt despite GBM being in detention.
Mr Zulu explained that due to the detention of GBM, the people of the copperbelt have protested by according HH a welcome that befits a sitting Head of State.
The source has further disclosed that following Kaizar Zulu’s advice, the President was considering releasing GBM tomorrow Sunday to save his image which has badly been dented, not only in Zambia but across the world.
GBM was arrested yesterday by police following Lungu’s instructions. He was further denied bail as the police were instructed to do so by President Lungu.
But despite the sad detention of GBM, the people of the Copperbelt have shown Zambians that they are against political intimidation in the country by according UPND Leader Hakainde Hichilema with a lousing welcome when he visited Copperbelt today Saturday (05/03/2016). Intelligence Reports indicated that President Lungu was disturbed with the images of huge UPND rallies waiting for HH at the airport and along the roads leading to various towns on the Copperbelt.
Because of the pictures of UPND on the Copperbelt, President Lungu developed high sugar levels hence he concealed all his programmes and did not do anything apart from drinking heavily. It was during the drinking bear that Kaizar Zulu came out openly and blamed the Head of State for GBM’s persecution. He further warned that UPND was headed for victory should most people in Lusaka and Copperbelt sympathise with GBM and HH.
