GBM Out On K10, 000 Bail
UPND vice president for administration Geoffrey Mwamba has pleaded not guilty to one charge of proposing violence.
And Magistrate Bwalya yestereday granted Mr Mwamba a K10,000 Bail with two working sureties.
Making bail application, Defence Lawyers Jack Mwiimbu said Mr Mwamba is a prominent businessman, of fixed abode and has served as Defence Minister.
Magistrate Bwalya has since set April 11, for commencement of trail.
Mr Mwamba is alleged to have said he would go for the President’s throat after being released from police in another matter.

We thank gbms lawyers for ensuring his release on bail. The international community is watching how dictatorial the pf is. It does not surprise me that lungu and the pf are actually close to mugabe and zanupf. Indeed lungu is learning from his ally on how to destroy a nation by clinging on to power at any cost. As we get closer to election let us ensure our safety as the pf have already murdered our member in the past and have been convicted.

Look at facts government under ECL is broke and they need to fundraise. All avenues of fundraising are used up the only one remaining is the one used above. Accuse UPND leaders and other opposition arrest them and then release them on bail……….. and life goes on. Arresting, discharging and then again rearresting GBM over and over will not deter us the UPND from our fight because what is K10,000 to GBM, its pettycash which his accounts clerk can approve.
