Mumba Shuns MMD Reconciliation Meeting
MMD President Nevers Mumba this afternoon shunned the MMD reconciliation meeting facilitated by Evangelical Fellowship of Zambia Executive Director Reverend Pukuta Mwanza and North Mead Assemblies of God Overseer Bishop Joshua Banda.
This was despite being invited to attend the meeting.
Former President Rupiah Banda, MMD National Secretary Mwansa Mbulakulima and former MMD Deputy National Secretary Chembe Nyangu were among those who attended the meeting held at the Evangelical Fellowship of Zambia this afternoon.
Facilitator of the meeting Bishop Banda told Journalists shortly after the meeting that the church wants to see a united nation by reconciling all faction parties.
Bishop Banda says this is the time to reduce on political tension by avoiding hate speech and anything that threatens the unity of the people.
And Bishop Banda says the church will also engage political parties on the use replica military regalia by cadres saying this is also contributing to the high levels of violence.
He says the church will propose that political parties stop using this type of regalia and stick to their party regalia.

BLACKS ARE SYMBOLS OF POVERTY’ (PW BOTHA 1985)

When I look at the xenophobia in South Africa, the poverty and failure to develop Zambia, Mozambique, Malawi and nonsense in Zimbabwe, I critically think of what former president of Apartheid South Africa P W Botha said in 1985 about black people.
Here are some of the excepts from that speech:
“Pretoria has been made by the White mind for the White man. We are not obliged even the least to try to prove to anybody and to the Blacks that we are superior people. We have demonstrated that to the Blacks in a thousand and one ways. The Republic of South Africa that we know of today has not been created by wishful thinking. We have created it at the expense of intelligence, sweat and blood. .
We do not pretend like other Whites that we like Blacks. The fact that, Blacks look like human beings and act like human beings does not necessarily make them sensible human beings. Hedgehogs are not porcupines and lizards are not crocodiles simply because they look alike. If God wanted us to be equal to the Blacks, he would have created us all of a uniform colour and intellect. But he created us differently: Whites, Blacks, Yellow, Rulers and the ruled. Intellectually, we are superior to the Blacks; that has been proven beyond any reasonable doubt over the years. I believe that the Afrikaner is an honest, God fearing person, who has demonstrated practically the right way of being. Nevertheless, it is comforting to know that behind the scenes, Europe, America, Canada, Australia -and all others are behind us in spite of what they say.
It is our strong conviction, therefore, that the Black is the raw material for the White man. And here is a creature that lacks foresight. The average Black does not plan his life beyond a year”.
By now every one of us has seen it practically that the Blacks cannot rule themselves. Give them guns and they will kill each other. They are good in nothing else but making noise, dancing, marrying many wives and indulging in sex. Let us all accept that the Black man is the symbol of poverty, mental inferiority, laziness and emotional incompetence. Isn’t it plausible, therefore that the White man is created to rule the Black man? Come to think of what would happen one day if you woke up and on the throne sat a Kaff*ir! Can you imagine what would happen to our women? Does anyone of you believe that the Blacks can rule this country?

It makes me shed tears when I look at what is going on in Zambia today and Brother fights brother for the sake of an ‘OFFICE’. Others are prepared to shed blood to hold on to what they have in hand. Would any African blame PW Botha for speaking the way he did?
Zambia must open her eyes and recognize the fact that those that cannot find solutions to problems will always resort to violence to hold on to power and they will bully any one that looks wiser than them. We saw it at primary schools and boarding schools in the 70s and 80s.
Zambians ought to unite and fight the enemy within. there is no need for us to fight each other.

How can Mumba attend such a meeting whose agender he already knows? One wonders what Bishop Banda sees in Edgar,i used to admire this bishop but lucking wisdom is his weakness. I still respect Bishop Imakando(Bread of life)

I respect Nevers and i refuse to accept that he shunned the reconciliation meeting.. He must have a good reason why he didnt turn up.. Unless i hear his side of the story, I will reserve my comments.

l see some regional or tribal inclination in that grouping. How come all those in attendance from the former Republican President and pentecostal pastors are from the same region?. Was the reconciliation genuine?.

are you crazy, the poor pastor is trying to get his pension sorted out by flogging the title to the party. Reconcilliation means that there will have to be a gathering. A gathering with the party officials present means that some wayward chap might take the opportunity to call for an emergency meeting and chuck Nevers out. Nevers will never attend a meeting where he can be sorted out. Instead he will sit in the shadows like a scared rodent till the sale goes through.
