Reduce Mealie Meal, Lungu Tells Milllers

President Edgar Lungu has directed the millers in the country to reduce the price of mealie meal.
Speaking upon arrival at Chipata airport today, President Lungu says it is unacceptable that mealie meal is fetching as high as K120.00 when the millers are buying cheaper maize from the Food Reserve Agency.
He says there is no reason for the millers to sale mealie meal at such high prices.
The Head of State has also urged the Police in eastern province to be vigilant in view of the smuggling of maize to Malawi.
Mr. Lungu says he will be asking for reinforcement to send service men to help the Police in Eastern province handle the issue.

I blame my fellow citizens, when one goes to livingstone, you will find zambians smuggling mealie meal to Zimbabwe and later complain about the commodity shortfall.

So you fail to bring about favourable business conditions. High cost of production. Electricity is erratic and expensive. Fuel is expensive. Corruption is rife and then you now want to force millers to reduce price. Indeed lungu is a dull lazy visionless nincompoop. Anyway few more months before we get rid of these pf jokers. Hh a successful farmer who knows the hardships farmers face will indeed ensure agriculture is managed effectively.

the problem we have in Zambia is that our president only speak to millers when he is drunk how many times has he been warning or telling millers to reduce meal mealie is this government serious with what they are doing let us give them enough rope to hang themselves on 11th August
