Government has reassured the nation that there will no further jobs losses in the mines.
Mines Minister Christopher Yaluma says government is doing with everything possible to ensure that jobs in the mines remain secured.
Mr. Yaluma has disclosed that in doing this government is engaging various stakeholders that include the Zambia Chamber of Mines.
He notes that government is looking forward to maintaining the current levels of operations in the mines.
Mr. Yaluma says government is keen about finding solutions that which will see an improvement in its relationship with the mines.
He says government wants to also ensure that production in the mines is ramped up.

So yaluma finds it fit to insult former miners by sayinh this after pf has already led to loss of jobs. Pf has no respect and I advise them to keep quiet until August when hh starts to clean up their mess.
We ask you all to come together in august and help us to help you make positive change. I am currently in uk meeting our upnd teams and Zambians here are saying that they will double their investment back home if we can put a true manager hh in power. Vote upnd bane
can u tell us how hh is going to clean up the mess that pf has made?
Ba one tim nayimwe. I know you have beentered blogging hete from the early days I joined tumfweko. How many times have I given our manifesto explanations and only to receive insults from yourselves. @nez in UK meeting his fellow tongas. Yarks. Not surprised because even here in Aussie all tongas surports Upnd.
The pf always issue tribal comments where non exist and then cry like infants thar upnd is tribal. It is like the story of an insecure man with a tiny penis who keeps laughing at others Size due to his own insecurity. Mune zambians want change. Nothing tonga about that. The sooner you get over it the better because muka fainter mu august
What is there to save? Idiot yaluma
that is rubish ba yaluma wen copper prices shooted up 5 months ago to the highest price .
NEZ THUBS UP !
stupid yaluma miners have been put on half salary at nfca chambishi mine and your useless gorvnment is quite.how i wish august was today so that we remove you sc aundrals
This is all too familiar a story and promising as a way of winning support and not meaning any of what PF and its leaders say. PF you are just waking up to the reality that you have damage the economy and lives of many people on the Copperbelt. Wait for August 2016 to fully understand the pain you have put mines in.
is this not exactly what they used to say a few months back?
then just a few weeks later we saw massive job losses in mines
….assurances my foot !
What jobs?
What is this man talking about?.Does he know how many miners have lost jobs and are suffering?. This is bullshit.
