Mukata, Mwaliteta Quit Govt For UPND

Justice Deputy Minister Keith Mukata has resigned from Government to join the opposition UPND.
Mr. Mukata who is MMD Chilanga Member of Parliament says he tendered his letter of resignation to State House this morning.
And Kafue PF MP Obvious Mwaliteta has quit the government for the opposition UPND.
Speaking at a media briefing where he was welcomed to the UPND by party President Hakainde Hichilema today, Mr. Mukata says his resignation has been dictated by his conscious.
Mr. Mukata says there is currently no better leader to become the next republican president other than UPND President Hakainde Hichilema.
Mr. Mukata has since apologized to Mr. Hichilema for having previously campaigned against him saying he had been casting his fishing net wrongly.
And Mr. Hichilema has described Mr. Mukata’s resignation from government and the subsequent joining of the UPND as an indication of united Zambians are in their resolve to remove the ruling Patriotic Front from power in this year’s elections.
Mr. Hichilema says his party is expecting more of such resignations as the August 11th general election draw near.
Meanwhile MMD Members of Parliament who supported Mr. Hichilema in the 20th January, 2016 presidential elections have reaffirmed their endorsement of the UPND leader’s candidature in this year’s elections.
These include among other Mumbwa Member of Parliament Brian Chituwo and his counterparts for Liuwa, Nalikwanda and Ikeleng’i Situmbeko Musokotwane, Geoffrey Lungwangwa and Elijah Muchima respectively.

We all make mistakes. Only the wise and those of integrity are big enough to apologise. So we accept your apology. I heard this news days ago from our internal support officer and am glad to welcome you to a forward thinking party. I will be travelling back to zambia end of this month once I conclude funding activities here in cold Europe. I hate the cold but for my country I will.go to whatever measures to bring sanity in governance. Vote upnd and we thank you.

So just sit down and wait for 11 August wen you will weep. Who told u that if a lozi, luvale, Linda or kaonde joins upnd then it’s tribalism? Unless you feed from them. If crying was a norm, then all you hakaindeans will have been shedding your semen by now coz your tears would have dried by 2011.

So mwaliteta has decided to defect from pf to jo4n upnd because of the grade 12 requirement? Does he think he will be adopted under upnd ticket? What a dull young man. Whether u are in upnd, pf or mmd, the requirement is the same. In any case i did not hear mwaliteta speaking in parliament. Obviously this had something to do with his limited grammar due to his low level of education. Shame on u. U are still young. Just imr

WHAT IS THE NEWS HERE? are these not the same MMD MPs that supported UPND in 2015…?

As for Mwaliteta.. well his friends from PF are gone, i.e. Scott, Miles, gbm, Kabimba and that woman from Chongwe… and we all know that, they were the mouthpiece of the cartel in State House.
So there is no News here. and by the way, Governments never lose elections in Africa, unless there is an all people driven revolution (e.g 1991 & 2011) and NOT A TRIBE and COUSINSHIP (mbuyas) one, as was the case in 2015. I’m not a betting man, but if I were to put my house on who is going to win in August, I would go with the ruling party….

Keith Mukuta has no morals after being in govt for five years can he come and cite poor governance now as the reason for resigning? Where was he all this time, I thought he was different from these other politicians considering that he is young and a lawyer! Anyway nothing will change on the political landscape because even in the 2015 elections Chilanga voted for UPND and they lost to ECL, as for Mwaliteta he has just dug a political pit for himself unless he improves his academic qualifications and thats what we call poor timing.

I agree with 100 because I personally know Keith but what I did not know is that such a young educated lawyer can be so deceitful. He has enjoyed being in government for 5 years only to come and say what he says now. This is a big stub and posterity will judge this man accordingly. For Mwaliteta, its a pity. Its a pity that this guy even outside Parliament he could have had a good job but alas! These are the chaps who think after acting.

fintu ni Lungu ;I think people have memories of what happened last year; the voting pattern in southern province it shows a bad signal, and if all provinces do the same then, I see HH crying. bcoz people from southern were not voting on merit but wako ni wako. which is. very bad. Lets change the voting pattern. if hu is to win the election. if that will happens again and we happened to go for re-run then all the provinces. will do the same meaning that hu will lose.

And it is a big lesson also to my PF that after we win the August 2016 elections, there should be no opposition appointments. Therefore, we must work extra hard to get enough seat in parliament.

I am humbled and re gogitated by the trends. Take not thee lightly its just the begining. MMD is a party on Paper, just like UNIP et al. NOw real parties in order of popularity are as follows:

    1. UPDN – HH
    2. Poor People party – Alex Muliokela
    3. Green Party – Sinkamba
    4. Patriotic front – Edgar Lungu
    5. FDD – Edith Nawakwi

The top five are important. But please focus on number one because the revolution has began. I wont say much but just watch and see.

This is my prediction for the August elections; there will be no rerun. Lungu will win with 56 per cent of the votes cast, hh will come second with 41 per cent, mmd in third place with 2 per cent and the other parties sharing the remaining one per cent. The international community will declare the elections free and fair. Anyone who thinks the actual final results will be a total departure from my prediction must be living in fantasy island.

Ba pf you should have gone to southern province to thank them for votes since edgar compaigned only for 20minutes there, while hh camped in lubembaland. Instead you have even sidelined them completely, forget even the little votes you got last time. tongas have given pf and mmd mps when ever they compained, has bembaland given upnd any mp or even? only inly 1 councilor in bululu ward. pf has more than 50 councilors in upnd stronghold. This time around bemba as a single tribe has no bearing because other tribes from lusaka and copperbelt are in the majority and hh is suported by majority tribes, then Muchinga pf will lose good votes to Sata’s family Miles. pf only counts luapula and northern
