MMD Will Be At Ease After Defections – Ngóma

Political Scientist Dr. Alex Ng’oma says the defection of some MMD members of parliament to the UPND will allow the former ruling party to settle and compose itself.
Dr. Ng’oma says this is because the factions that existed in the MMD will no longer be there now that those who were not in agreement with the MMD president have left.
He however, notes that the decision by the 11 members of parliament to defect to the UPND is irrational.
Dr. Ng’oma states that the Members of Parliament who have defected to the UPND hold seats in areas where the UPND is popular and do not want to sacrifice their seats.
He has since urged the MMD to reorganize itself now that one faction has left the party.

It is Dr Ngoma’s thinking which is irrational. The MPS realise that their areas are UPND strongholds and therefore standing under upnd is therefore logical. why does Ngoma think it’s irrational?

And which corners of the country voted for those upnd ‘national’ representatives? You go & buy yourselves Nalumango, Canicius, Tekere, GBM them gift them bogus positions ati we are national?!!! Lunges iwe, national is born out of national conventions. Not where your demigod is the appointing authorities of each and every ‘defacator’ (not defectors, coz they most join after being kicked out.)

For me I find this analysis by Dr Ngoma more mature and sober than the VJ comment where he put blame on Dr Mumba.

Both RB and Nevers are petty macheavellians and selfish “leaders” who have been USING MMD for personal advantage/leverage rather the common good of the Party and country at large. That’s the root cause of the demise of this once great party. All these analyses are academic exercises. Ng’oma deliberately fails to predict that MMD will be completetly FINISHED after August 11, What following has Nevers got other tha family members? Even the pentes have deserted/lost faith in him!

Its not easy to build and sale an opposition leader in africa ba kakolwe,it takes time, trust me,Sata had to ride on Bemba suppremacy and ignorance, otherwise he could have been a nonentity and you know that Kakolwe.

i thought mmd was made up of former unip members, pf made of former mmd/upnd members. so what is wrong with upnd having former unip, mmd and pf members? my understanding is that politics is about numbers.
