Levy Junction shopping joint in Lusaka this afternoon was honored to host two female thieves masquarading as celebrities who were caught stealing from one of the executive stores.
A lady identified as Amanda from the Zambia National Broadcasting Coorporation ZNBC was caught attempting to steal two pairs of shoes, a bra, and some artificial facial makeup from Jet stores while acting together with her unidentifed friend.
The government employee who works for TV2 is believed to have been tempted to shoplift after she went window shopping with only 15 Kwacha stashed in her big black handbag but she was monitored by the store’s webcam before getting away with the free commodity.
The two thieves were quickly manhandled and dipped into yellow paint while being held in detention by the store security personnel.

Yes the owners apprehended her but it was incumbent upon them to safely handover the lady to the Police and subsequently appear in court. Some weeks ago a well known lady in Kitwe was caught stealing at Shoprite when she had K8,000 in her bag and a BMW packed outside. Once a thief always a thief.

People, lets sympathize with civil servants. These guys where getting good salaries during MMD’s reign. When PF came into power , most of their allowances were scrapped off . If you think Iam lying, ask any civil servant from any ministry, he or she will tell you that two or three allowances were scrapped off. The wage freeze that was there even worsened the situation. Moreover, these guys were used to getting their salaries by 20th of Every month . Their salaries have delayed thats why that civil servant couldnot pay for those cheap items.Most civil servants are now broke.
