Mumbi Phiri Warns UPND

Patriotic Front Deputy Secretary General Mumbi Phiri has advised the UPND not to drag the name of the President in their affairs.
Reacting to remarks attributed to UPND presidential advisor Douglas Syakalima saying President Lungu is fooling the church, Ms. Phiri says the proposal for a peace indaba came from the catholic bishops.
Ms. Phiri says if the UPND do not respect the Catholic Church, they should not involve the president citing that the remarks from Mr. Syakalima confirm that the upnd is not ready to end violence.
She adds that the PF and Zambians as a whole do not believe in bloodshed and want peace to prevail at all costs which is why they welcome the call by the catholic bishops for a political indaba.
Ms. Phiri further states that only after all leaders begin to talk about peace will the country be able to end violence.

  This man will also give you eternal life, and if you are good he has a place for you in heaven after you die.
  The reason we know all this is because, after the man died, four people named Matthew, Mark, Luke and John wrote accounts of the man’s life. Their written attestations are proof of the veracity of this story.
  This, of course, is the story of Jesus. Do you believe this story? If you are a Christian, you probably do. I could ask you questions for hours and you will have answers for every one of them, in just the same way that I had answers for all of the Santa questions that my friend asked me in Example 1. You cannot understand how anyone could question any of it, because it is so obvious to you.
  Here is the thing that I would like to help you understand: The four billion people who are not Christians look at the Christian story in exactly the same way that you look at the Santa story, the Mormon story and the Muslim story. In other words, there are four billion people who stand outside of the Christian bubble, and they can see reality clearly. The fact is, the Christian story is completely imaginary.
  How do the four billion non-Christians know, with complete certainty, that the Christian story is imaginary? Because the Christian story is just like the Santa story, the Mormon story and the Muslim story. There is the magical insemination, the magical star, the magical dreams, the magical miracles, the magical resurrection, the magical ascension and so on. People outside the Christian faith look at the Christian story and note these facts:

As a Christian, one does not look at justifying oneself of wrongdoing especially violence. HH never takes responsibility of the violence perpetrated by his cadres, rather he justifies evil act by accusing others especially PF.
I am not justifying the violence of PF, they are equally guilty and they should take responsibility as well.
However, HH treats the perpetrators of violence in his party as heroes and heroines. And those poor citizens who get beaten by his cadres are like infidels who deserve the wrath of violence for not supporting him. I am a victim of HH’s cadres’ violence and justified it.
For those among his cadres who get hurt in the battle or arrested, HH treats them like martyrs.

May I also add my voice to this talk of ending violence by calling for an INDABA. In the first place we know that a mass was called for ” RECONCILIATION ”. Instead of reconciliation, we have seen THINGS FALL APART. That reconciliation mass was at a huge cost. Do will still have to spend a colossal amount for something that can be achieved by a word from the Commander of the Armed Forces? Obviously the response is in the negative. What or who has the solution to this scourge? In my view, it is the Republican President. Let me give examples of the assault of members of the public at the Youth Day rally, Heroes stadium etc. These were perpetrated by PF cadres in the presence of the high ranking government officials and , up to date none of these criminals has been arrested yet they are known. Why is this so? The answer is very clear. The intended indaba can be held, but WILL IT END THE VIOLENCE? Certainly NOT. So what shall we have achieved? NOTHING except loss of the much needed funds which will be spent on hosting clergy, government officials etc. Please do NOT label a SATANIST. I am a God-fearing person who just wanted to voice my opinion on this matter. I thank you for listening.
