Zimbabwe have taught and overpowered their northern neighbours Zambia 4-2 to win the 2018 Cosafa Castle Cup on Saturday and take a record sixth title in Polokwane, South Africa.
Zambians who throughout the tournanment kept on back tracking and not going forward were in the fourth minute punished after a poor back pass by left back Sikaonga gifted the Zimbabweans the first goal.
Kambole scored two for Zambia.
Defensive lapses cost Zambia the victory despite being ahead 2-1 till the 90th minute when Zimbabwe pounced and leveled at the death to send match into extra time at 2-2.
In extra time, Khama Billiat was brought down by Nkana forward Sate Sate Kampamba in the penalty box. Billiat dusted himself to take what turned out to be the winning two goals for Zimbabwe.
Success for Zimbabwe continued the unbeaten record of veteran coach Sunday Chidzambwa in the tournament.
He has won it four times now after previous success in 2003 and 2009 and is still yet to lose a match with 18 wins and three draws in 21 games in charge over three different editions.
