TWO people have been found dead in a house in Livingstone’s Linda township in what is suspected to be a murder and suicide case.
And the parents of the dead are shocked at the incident, describing it as unbelievable.
Southern Province Commissioner of Police Bonny Kapeso named the dead as Patrick Mbaimbai, 23, of house number C193 and Taonga Daka, 16, of house number N 55, both of Linda township.
Mr Kapeso said in an interview yesterday that Inonge Mabosha, 45, the mother of Patrick, reported the matter to the police after she found her son hanging in the bedroom and Taonga’s body wrapped in bed sheets.
He said the incident is believed to have happened between Saturday and Sunday.
Mr Kapeso said Taonga was Patrick’s girlfriend and is suspected to have been murdered by Patrick who later committed suicide.
He said half-full bottles of Fanta and Coca Cola were picked from the scene and that they have been taken for examination.
“The two bodies are currently in Batoka Hospital mortuary awaiting post-mortem to ascertain the cause of death,” Mr Kapeso said.
