Statement On Pres. Lungu’s Commitment To National Dialogue

The Zambian DNA is elated that President Edgar Chagwa Lungu has confirmed taking part in the National Dialogue Process Launch slated for 18th January 2019.
We commend the Republic President for his tacit commitment to the National Dialogue meant to discuss many issues such as the Public Orders Act(POA), the Constitution Process and the Electoral Process among other issues.
It is our sincere hope and prayer that the organisers of this event will ensure that the participants behave in the manner befitting their status by respecting the Head of State and not turn the National Dialogue into a political tug-of-war.
We are however, wondering whether honourable Chishimba Kambwili will be in attendance at the event. At Parliament, he is PF Member of Parliament and outside Parliament, he is National Democrat Congress(NDC) leader or consultant.
We expect the Three Church Mother Bodies not to play double standards or being compromise by ensuring that honourable Chishimba Kambwili does not attend the party President summit launch of the National Dialogue Process as hii current political status is ambigiuos.
