HAKAINDE Hichilema is a dictator and Zambians must reject him because he will divide the country, UPND former vice president Geoffrey Bwalya Mwamba has charged.
And United Liberal Party (ULP) president Sakwiba Sikota has charged that it would be illegal and dictatorial for the UPND leadership not to adopt Members of Parliament who have decided to attend the National Dialogue Forum as candidates in the 2021 general elections.
Mr Mwamba was reacting to reports by UPND insiders that the leadership resolved not to adopt rebel Members of Parliament attending National Dialogue Forum in the 2021 general elections.
He told the Daily Nation yesterday that the Patriotic Front should consider adopting the MPs who would be side-lined by the UPND so as to have a command of parts of the country.
Mr Mwamba said that Mr Hichilema was self-centred and people must not trust him because his action clearly showed that he did not mean well for the country.
Mr Mwamba described Mr Hichilema as a dictator who wanted to run the opposition political party like his personal business.
Mr Mwamba said the country would be in turmoil if Zambians ushered into office a dictator like HH.
“I think people of Zambia are now accepting what I said about Hichilema. How can some want to punish people for merely attending an important event,” he said.
“The National Dialogue Forum must be respected by all Zambians because what will come out of it is for the good of this nation,” Mr Mwamba said.
The former opposition vice president said, Mr Hichilema must not be given an opportunity to govern the country as he was bad hearted.
“This man does not mean well for this country. He want every individual to worship him. I have said it many times and I will say it again that the man is a dictator,” Mr Mwamba said.
