THREE passengers have died in a collision accident involving a Chembe Bus and a Fuso truck in Kabwe in the early hours of yesterday, the police have confirmed.
In an SMS news alert to media houses, police spokesperson Ndandula Siamana stated that the driver of a Chembe bus destined for Lusaka avoided a stationary
vehicle and collided with an oncoming Fuso truck.
“The accident occurred today around 02:00hrs involving
Chembe bus registration number ABG 6767 and Fuso registration number ABZ 7732 about 10 kilometres from Kabwe. Three people died, two from the Fuso truck and one from Chembe bus. All the deceased are unknown. Three females and three males have been admitted to Kabwe General Hospital,” stated Siamana. “The unidentified bodies of the deceased are lying at Kabwe General Hospital mortuary. Both motor vehicles were extensively damaged.”
