Mbesuma Warns Opponents

Collins Mbesuma says he and Katlego Mashego will form a deadly combination this season for Golden Arrows.
Mbesuma surprised many fans when he managed to score 11 goals for Arrows last season, despite only joining in December 2010, midway through the campaign.
“My confidence and form are back,” he says. “I am looking to do better for the team this season. It always excites me to score.
“Looking around the quality of players that the coach has assembled, I believe we will have a good season at Arrows.”
Mbesuma, who has had stints with Mamelodi Sundowns, Moroka Swallows and clubs in England and Portugal, has issued a stern warning to his opponents.
“I believe that once Mashego gets to know me, and we understand each other, we will be dangerous. What I like about him is that he is intelligent and mature. He knows when to make a run and lay the ball off.”
Despite his current confidence, Mbesuma would not be drawn into backing himself to repeat his incredible performance at Chiefs in 2005, when he scored a sensational 35 goals.
“I really would not like to promise how many goals I will score in the upcoming season, as that would put me in unnecessary pressure. So long as I get the chance to play and score, that will be fine,” he says.
