UPND : RB’s Parentage Debate Is A Non-Starter

THE United Party for National Development (UPND) says the parentage debate on President Rupiah Banda was not an issue as the UPND would beat the MMD in the fighting election arena.
Speaking to reporters yesterday, UPND deputy spokesperson Cornelius Mwitwa said it was irrelevant for anyone to discuss President Banda’s parentage at this stage.
“How can we start debating RB’s parentage at such a critical moment when elections are a stone throw away? The UPND wants to meet the MMD in the fighting arena and beat the party in a fair way. We shall not be party to the parentage debate. The UPND will win out rightly come September,” said Mwitwa.
