Adoptions Give UPND Headache

The United Party for National Development (UPND) is believed to be having a headache on which parliamentary candidates to field in Siavonga, Monza Namwala and Sesheke constituencies.
This has resulted in the delay in announcing party’s parliamentary candidates which is now expected to be made this Sunday, 7th August, 2011.
Reliable Sources within the party have revealed to Tumfweko that the party is almost done with the selection process.
The party is said to have managed to adopt candidates in all the constituencies but is yet to decide on some selected constituencies.
The source says what has delaying the announcement is the selection of candidates in Siavonga, Monze, Namwala and Sesheke where the party is still studying the candidates so as to adopt the best.
Opposition political parties are expected to announce their adopted parliamentary candidates for the general elections before Friday, 12th August, 2011, which will mark the commencement of filing in of nominations by aspiring Candidates.
