Western Province Ex -MMD Councilor Calls For Regime Change

Those of our relatives whose lives were taken by the MMD will not forgive us if we do not hit back aggressively through the ballot, says a former MMD councilor.
Mwenda Lishebo, the former councilor for Mulambwa wars who has been critical of president Banda’s leadership, said Western Province had been reduced to a cemetery of failed projects.
“The need for change of government in the minds of the people of western province is more real than President Banda may be willing to admit,” said Lishebo in an interview.
“Those of our relatives whose lives have been taken away via a bullet will not forgive us if the people of western province do not hit back aggressively via a ballot in this years election. The beauty about this civilized and democratic route is that it is no respecter of bullet proof jackets and as such I appeal to all well meaning people of Barotseland to turn up in huge and unprecedented numbers to unseat this (MMD) regime by voting for Michael Sata and PF,” he said.
Lishebo urged people of western province to remember that President Banda had ragged of not soliciting for votes from them.
“As we need the needful on that grand day, in that grand fashion, do keep in mind President Banda’s teasing words to the people of Western Province; ‘I did not solicit for your votes’” said Lishebo
