Wanted: Facebook racist
The Hawks have launched an investigation into an image on Facebook in which a white man with a rifle poses over the apparently lifeless body of a black child – like a hunter celebrating his kill.
The undated picture is on the social networking site in the profile of a user called “Eugene Terrorblanche”, a play on the name of the murdered leader of the Afrikaner Weerstandsbeweging (AWB). As of yesterday, “Terrorblanche” had 590 “friends”.
While it is not known if the photograph is genuine or has been manipulated, a child protection charity has expressed concern for the well being of the youngster.
The search is now on for the person or persons responsible for the picture, for whoever created the user profile and for those who have seen the photograph but failed to report it.
The authorities have suggested that everyone party to the posting – including those who have seen the picture – could face prosecution and, if convicted, a jail sentence.
This is regardless of whether the picture is faked.

this photo is terrible and the unfortunate thing too is that it looks real. if you look at the pixels in the photo on both the boy and the man they are very similar that indicates the photo could be real. this is very sick

This picture is probably fake, and yet another way to make white farmers look like horrible heartless people, when in fact, it is the white man that is being hunted and killed and raped in South Africa.

chuck whites out of southafrica? Lol said in the language of whites on a network system designed by whites by a guy calling himself a degraded name for a white homosexual. This attitude is exactly what creates racial tention in this country and both sides of the fence has guilt in the matter. If a white guy however made a comment about chucking all black people out, it would be all over the news whereas with you nothing is said. I ask for media equality in this matter, because so far over 3000 farmers have been brutally murdered. They’re worried over this one black kid (me 2) – what this guy did in the photo was ****** but there are thousands upon thousands of missing black kids on the street as we speak. Who cares for them? do the hawks open up public investigations for the murderers of white farmers? This picture is probably made by an anc youth league guy wanting to stir ratial hate. I don’t rape grandmothers – remember that.

Why is there so much enermosity?? Whether we like it or not we will not change that there’s always going to be blacks and whites and the sooner we get that into our heads the better…the picture is really cruel whether created by whited to spite blacks or vise verca it is just horrible…to Bingo this is a kid I’m surprised u’d compare it to anything to white fagat…who said Africa was for blacks only?? U all need to be ashamed of urselves for failing to see the pic for what it is (cruel and heartless) without pointing fingers at what race the person who created this is.

Bongiwe is right. We should stand together in all regards of crimes committed in this country, and consider our words carefully before making statements that could fire more hatred. this isn’t a white/black thing anymore. it’s a national threat that will destroy our system built by people who would have fought for nothing if this mindless hate doesn’t stop.

This is very disturbing to look at. It is poeple like that that bring about confusion in a nation… how honestly can someon do such a thing it is very unfortunate the poor boy had to succumb to such treatment. May God deliver us all!

I just really hope it’s fake and the result of a very ****** individual making a joke that really isn’t funny. And it will probably not happen, but I’ll keep on hoping for equality and stand against any form of hatred. But you can’t overcome hate with hate.

The reason we can never be together is because even though we say we fighting RACISM we still call each other “white” or “black” why can’t we just call each other “PEOPLE” that way everyone realises that despite color we are all human.

I think the picture is fake if you look at the vegetation below the boy. But this is the exact senarior we have in Africa. Even at work places the scenes can fit this. On mines we are constantly being abused with insults and there is no dignity left with us. This is what happens when the leaders resort to corruption and begging these pipo for protection in terms of donations to their political parties. We have no where to go. I personally, even as a well educated Mechanical Engineer with a Masters degree, I have to smile when insulted by the whites because if I were to react, I would loose my job and I would not get another from any of the Mines because they would have ganged up. We are sunk deep in sh*t
